Liked Very very warm welcome by a lovely lady. Great pitch and toilets and facilities were clean and well set up with a microwave, kettle in a kitchen. Sadly we didn’t get much time to see much else as we used it as a base on the way to the ferry. Will definitely be back and recommend.

Liked Very welcoming people on arrival, the lady was very friendly. Good sized pitches. Toilets and showers were new, place looked well presented. They were being cleaned at 6pm on a Friday. 🤗 Easy to find location. Stunning views. Seasonal food caravans on site - e.g. pizzas, burgers, gyros, alcohol van, coffee machine available as well. Lots of space for kids to run about. Little shop selling essentials. Phone signal was good on Sky / BT.
Disliked The toilets and showers although new are just not set up for campers, not enough room, no thinking of people hanging towels for example or simply off for a wash and shave (men obviously, though some women might). Maybe need to rethink the set up there. The food vans are great but leave behind rubbish, maybe get some more bins? The free wood burners are great but the smoke and smell it creates is like Apocalypse Now, it stunk and there was smoke everywhere. It’s a great place and I would recommend it but it could be so much better.

Liked Clean, warm toilets and showers. Peaceful, clean, well maintained site, spacious flat pitches. Overall - a good site to recommend and return to. Didn’t use the WiFi so can’t say how good it was, I think it’s £4.50 each day. You get a welcome pack on arrival explaining everything.

Liked Proximity to wildlife and nice walks. Nice pub at the end of the road.
Disliked Small and muddy hard standing pitches, toilets and showers dated and cold, some of the ladies showers with a poor slow showers.

Liked Lovely views from the site over the valley, friendly team on arrival, toilets and showers clean and warm during winter. Pubs with walking distances, great walks on the doorstep. Fully serviced pitch was good and flat.
Disliked I can imagine the road way way would be a bit muddy when it’s wet, the ramp up to the easy access men’s toilets and showers can be treacherous when it’s wet and icey.

Liked Easy to find site and clean and well maintained, fishing lake seemed popular and theres a few in situ caravans on the site. Theres a small shop that has a few chilled and frozen bits and simple stuff which is cheap. Toilets were clean, showers were OK and free. Ten minute walk to local village and 30 minute walk into St Ives.
Disliked Ladies showers weren't the greatest.

Liked Electricity deal! It’s cheap as chips, infact it’s cheaper than chips! We were there one night and charged our campervan leisure battery up from flat, used our phone chargers, lights, kettles and air fryer and it cost me 88p!!! Yes - 88p. The meter is shown in my images and is right by your pitch so don’t go overboard in adding £1 coins, take it steady. Don’t be put off by the meter charges. Clean site, clean showers and toilets, very new and safe. Site is very basic, no frills but good. No reception on site, all communication via WhatsApp, all in all it was good.

Liked Very clean and modern shower, toilet, laundry and washing up facilities. Very nice pub and restaurant only a two minute walk away and easy to find site. WIFI was available to buy but we didn't bother using it so can't comment on how good it was. Shop for groceries and a newspaper was a 20 minute walk and a 5 minute drive away. People who ran the site were very friendly. Hard standing pitch for our campervan was very large and water and electricity were close by.
Disliked Nothing - all good to report.

Liked NOTHING about the site other than its location which a 5 minute walk to the village where there is a well stocked Spar, a pub and a coffee shop and Chippy.
Disliked It’s horrific! The banner on the wall as you drive in says “A WORLD AWAY FROM YOUR EVERYDAY” and it couldn’t have been more accurate as it’s a dump. For someone who’s used campsites for over 20 years this is the worst I’ve seen.
The field is simply a grazing field for sheep which wander about while you are there the grass is long aswell with sheep and dog faeces all over the shop. There’s abandoned caravans scattered around the field with a number being smashed up and very unsightly.
The ‘facilities’ are where the world away from your every day gets started. Credit to the owners, they’ve made an effort, an awful one albeit, but an effort. They’ve cut a chicken house in half, chucked a load of walling in and put in some toilets and showers.
There’s three single toilet rooms with sinks, only two were available on the bank holiday weekend in August though and these had hot water and toilet roll but were both blocked on Saturday morning and ran out of toilet roll very early.
The owner once contacted did arrange someone to attend and sort this issue out though so further credit in the bank there.
Also in the shed it has three showers, one with a toilet in it (of which the room doesn’t have a lock on the door). The showers were free though but the drains were blocked on numerous occasions. There’s no chairs or benches in the showers and only two very small hooks to use and there were not cleaned all weekend with no mops or squeegees available.
There’s no mirrors anywhere either which isn’t helpful or electric points for hair dryers for example. The washing up area is outside and has no hot water.
The place doesn’t appear to be manned so there’s no welcome or issuing of pitches. It’s a shambles really so don’t bother booking it.

Liked Friendly people welcoming us, quiet location, clean and well kept site.
Disliked Only two toilets - one male and one female side by side which was odd. Ran out of toilet paper in ladies cubicle and hand wash basins and general toilet area is very small and tight at busy periods. Washing up water wasn’t very hot. No signs until you are virtually outside it which didn’t help.

From the manager: Thank you for your comments. As we have previously mentioned in other reviews having more facilities is something that we would like to do in the future. Our listing clearly states that the facilities are shared along with plenty of pictures to show the layout. We do have dedicated male and female cubicles and showers. All guest are provided with a what3words link and clear directions to the site in their welcome email. As mentioned to you, the road to the site is council owned and they do not allow us to have any signage, unfortunately this is out of our control. All dispensers where filled up 7pm on the night of your stay, had I been made aware of any issues I would have refilled them ASAP. The facilities where checked and filled up at 9am the following morning. The hot water tank will have just needed 10minutes to reheat due to the busy time of year and usage. We thank you for your custom and wish you will on your future camping trips.
