Great little site, very easy to get to and handy for Chester attractions including zoo, city and shopping.

Take some ear plugs for overnight if you're bothered by road noise

The motorhome pitches were of adequate size and had all the services we needed. The showers were very good, along with the toilets and are a credit to the site team - Well Done.
Access was easy, even though we were late but sufficient instruction had been given to us.

The Grey Water discharge point could do with looking into as it was very tight for our motorhome, and I couldn't see where the water was discharging to.

We booked an extra night on the 14th March. We had already paid the original bill but I was not asked to pay the extra night at the time of booking. I then received an abrupt email asking me to pay immediately as this was due on the 8th March, before we had decided to stay the extra night. I was quite offended by the tone of the email and as Pitch Up had not asked me to pay I assumed I would pay on arrival. The receptionist apologised but said these were automated emails. This is not acceptable under these circumstances.

Me & Mrs stayed here in our Motorhome between Xmas & New Year for 2 nights then booked an extra night cause I liked it here. Didn't see any staff cause the reception was closed but really didn't need to cause we got emailed the entrance gate code and the pitch number before hand and because the layout of the site is simple and well organised thats all you need to know to pitch for your stay with electric hook up and water beside the pitch. I found the toilets and showers good and kept clean and the check in and out times are good too. There is a bus stop up from the site entrance, the buses are regular, just hop on to go to Chester or the other wsy to West Kirby or change there for Liverpool if you want to go a bit further. I dont know what the wifi is like here cause we use our own onboard but we got good tv reception here. There is a bit of trafic noise here but im use to that where i live. On the whole, its a nice location and place, i would recommend it.

I always have an issue with 11 am departures, not just campsites but hotels also. This time of year, early forced depatures are pointless and unwelcoming!

Level standing

Gravel site, full of sludge. No pathways so got coved in sludge when returning from trip out by taxi.
Separate toilets and showers. Functional but no love shown. Showers are in a large room, with minimal hanging space and no where useful to put your things to keep them dry. Left a squeegee broom to clean up after yourself.
The dish washing facilities were unacceptable and the Elsan was just a filthy toilet that looked like it had never been cleaned. More investment required to bring the site up to an acceptable standard.
Did not see any staff whilst there and left a night early. Would not return.

Toilet block very clean also cafe on site.
Bus stop short walk away also petrol station near by.
Pitch is a decent size, free WiFi.
