Liked: Well looked after. Toilets and showers good. Very clean. Polite and helpful reception. Easy access.
Disliked: We booked an extra night on the 14th March. We had already paid the original bill but I was not asked to pay the extra night at the time of booking. I then received an abrupt email asking me to pay immediately as this was due on the 8th March, before we had decided to stay the extra night. I was quite offended by the tone of the email and as Pitch Up had not asked me to pay I assumed I would pay on arrival. The receptionist apologised but said these were automated emails. This is not acceptable under these circumstances.

Liked: Me & Mrs stayed here in our Motorhome between Xmas & New Year for 2 nights then booked an extra night cause I liked it here. Didn't see any staff cause the reception was closed but really didn't need to cause we got emailed the entrance gate code and the pitch number before hand and because the layout of the site is simple and well organised thats all you need to know to pitch for your stay with electric hook up and water beside the pitch. I found the toilets and showers good and kept clean and the check in and out times are good too. There is a bus stop up from the site entrance, the buses are regular, just hop on to go to Chester or the other wsy to West Kirby or change there for Liverpool if you want to go a bit further. I dont know what the wifi is like here cause we use our own onboard but we got good tv reception here. There is a bit of trafic noise here but im use to that where i live. On the whole, its a nice location and place, i would recommend it.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike here for me.

Liked: Easy Well Organised friendly welcome..Did not use all the onsite facilities but they looked fine. Will come back.
Disliked: I always have an issue with 11 am departures, not just campsites but hotels also. This time of year, early forced depatures are pointless and unwelcoming!

Disliked: Gravel site, full of sludge. No pathways so got coved in sludge when returning from trip out by taxi.
Separate toilets and showers. Functional but no love shown. Showers are in a large room, with minimal hanging space and no where useful to put your things to keep them dry. Left a squeegee broom to clean up after yourself.
The dish washing facilities were unacceptable and the Elsan was just a filthy toilet that looked like it had never been cleaned. More investment required to bring the site up to an acceptable standard.
Did not see any staff whilst there and left a night early. Would not return.

Genuinely sorry you did not enjoy your stay or our facilities, However, I cannot agree with some of your comments.!!!!
The site is gravelled but sadly there has been an exceptional amount of rain this December which i cannot control and will unavoidably lead to gravel getting sodden and somewhat sludgy in places.
The Showers and Toilets are BRAND NEW this year and state of the art. Each individual shower room has THREE HOOKES AND A SEAT AREA, in a 3m long room so i am not sure how much more room you would require for clothing and other items which you take to the shower with you. WHY SHOULD WE NOT LEAVE A SQUEEGEE BROOM FOR YOU TO LEAVE IT AS YOU FOUND IT ???
The Toilets are again BRAND NEW and immaculate and fully heated as can be seen from all our reviews this year.
The dish washing area, (WHILST ADEQUATE), I accept needs some alteration and attention to make it more functional and this will be addressed early in the New Year prior to the summer season opening.
The Elsan point is a raised external toilet which is cleaned daily but perhaps had not been flushed/hosed by the previous user. This also in the New Year will be sunk into a slightly raised brick area which will operate the same way but will not be a toilet but a proper Elsan point.
The Office is not manned 24 hours, but is open daily, 7 days a week and I live on site, the office does also display an out of hours number if your aim was to meet any of the staff or myself.

Bus stop short walk away also petrol station near by.
Pitch is a decent size, free WiFi.Disliked: Road noise.

Liked: Excellent location - easy to find and bus straight into Chester centre. Large, level pitches. Warm, clean facilities. Cafe with warm welcome and good food. Free WiFi. All in all fully recommended.
