Liked: Clean flat and good looking site. Very clean and excellent shower/toilet facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff. Fully serviced pitches on gravel. Easy access to North Wales or Chester
Disliked: Some potholes on the entrance that were a bit shaky for our motorhome but drive slow and you will be fine

Liked: Another fabulous stay at Oakwood. For the price it has everything from WiFi, washing machine and clean toilets and showers. This one of my favourite places to stay and bench mark for price and facilities.
Disliked: Not a dislike but a suggestion maybe a light in the washing up sinks as during the winter months it's darker earlier.

Liked: Oakwood touring park was a lovely site. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The showers and toilets were spotless. On the whole the site was well maintained and the pitch size was excellent for the size of our motorhome. You have access to public transport almost direct from the site which was perfect for us.
Disliked: The only fault we could find, was the noise from the road. We had read the reviews before we booked and thought that it couldn't be as bad as some had reported. But if you are a light sleeper, the road noise will keep you awake. The road is extremely busy both day and night, so earplugs are a must for a good night's sleep, which is a real shame as the site is lovely.

Toilet block not heated
Shower floors not tiled
Two motorhomes sharing one pitch opposite. Constant engine revving.
Music and noise until 2 am on one night

Whilst you may not have been happy, YOUR REVIEW IS MAINLY INACCURATE.
1. We are next to a main road and that is clear to see from our website and previous reviews.
2. YOU ARE WRONG, the toilet blocks are fully heated and were fully refurbished less than 12 months ago. All reviews tell you how good they are. BUT you must remember it was almost freezing when you were here.
3. The BRAND NEW SHOWER BLOCK floors are not tiled, but you fail to mention that they are heated with NON SLIP -MODERN RESIN FLOORS IE - WET ROOM STYLE. WHICH ARE NOT DESIGNED TO BE TILED.
4. The 2 motorhomes which were on one pitch, were as an exception allowed by me to accommodate a disabled guest and facilitate a level of comfort that they would have been unable to have on 2 pitches.
5. FINALLY BAH HUMBUG!!! - THE NIGHT IN QUESTION WAS MONITORED BY ME AND AS AN EXCEPTION, AS IT WAS NEW YEARS EVE, I ALLOWED GUESTS TO CELEBERATE PAST MIDNIGHT.
I hope you had a safe onward journey and as you have said you would not return, we genuinely look forward to that !!!!!

Check in smooth and fast. Questions on transport options into Chester and Cheshire Oaks explained. Pitches fine. Facilties clean and tidy. Great couple of days. Will be back next year.Disliked: Honestly say nothing.
