Clean, neat and well spaced pitches. Good communication.

Only two toilets and one shower which wasn’t clean enough.
If you are unlucky enough to be on the part of campsite near road ( pitch 14 for us) then there will be no sleep, I honestly felt that I was sleeping in a lay-by. The traffic is constant and right on the other side of the fence.

Stayed here with my family as a cheap base for taking the kids out for the week.
The week before coming I was a bit jubious as there was a lot of recent negative reviews.
Must admit I was pleasantly surprised. The site was clean with a tidy bin area.
Pitch was good hard gravel not the gritty stuff some places have that gets everywhere.
The pitch was a bit waterlogged on arrival and given the weather forecast at the time we opted not to put our awning up (not something the site could help considering how much rain we had).
The noisy road that people commented about - we didn't really hear it until a few days in, it's not too noisy that it would stop us being able to sleep and I wouldn't class it as busy either.
It was nice to have showers on site that didn't actually scald our kids as so many you can't control the temperature and the kids end up not being able to shower.
Brilliant location, we didn't go to the zoo but it's literally about 10mins away.
We took the kids to crocky trails! This place was so much fun, the kids were wet and filthy but they loved it! Also close to bewilderwood, a must go to with kids!
Overall we had a great holiday on a quiet clean campsite and would definitely stop there again if in the area.

Although the bathroom wasn't an issue for us at all, it could have been slightly cleaner, just because of how soggy it was outside everything was dragged in on people's shoes so maybe weather dependent clean them twice daily? Just a suggestion and definitely not something we personally were bothered by.

Very well laid out site with hardstanding and service points, coded access and neat site. Easy access from M56 motorway. Level pitches.

Road noise was constant, I realise the owners have done everything possible eg erecting a solid fence and planting trees to try and minimise the noise but for me it wasn't enough, lack of showers and toilets but believe these are earmarked for improvement.

Loved the location close to the zoo which was our priority, lovely staff and lovely small campsite

Bit noisy from the roads around it but we always bring earplugs anyway :)

Basic but clean, did what we needed for a one night stop on a longer journey, easy self service check in and clear email instructions

Was quite noisy, a group of teens and also road noise, but nothing major once the doors were shut. One of only two toilets out of action. Wouldn't stay here for a camping holiday but it's fine as a base.

Good place for stopover when you’re travelling up to the north or down the south. Good access for motorway.

Well laid out pitches. Hard standing was clean and level.
Good cafe.

Poor facilities. Insufficient number of loos, showers and wash basins for the size of site. Not well cleaned or maintained.
A lot of traffic noise

Flatish hardstanding pitch with easy access to electric and water. Good location for Chester and Chester Zoo. Easy late arrival. Quick to fix a problem with tap as soon as reported.

Litter, quite a lot across pitches and shared areas. Noise, we knew about the road noise and were willing to accept this for the easy access location but we weren't expecting noise from other campers which included quite a bit of loud music and big groups on quite a small, full site. The campsite was full with quite a few tents so 2 toilets wasn't enough. This was before they were dirty and broken for most of our stay. They did fix them just before we left. The shower tray (only 1) is also cracked. The shower was filthy every time we came to use it. I know this isn't down to the cleaner, more the people using it but this is more likely to happen when there is only one shower for a full campsite in high season when it is only cleaned once a day. There was a pube-covered sponge left in the men's on our last day. 🤢 For the price, not what we expected to start our summer holiday off.
