Liked: Size of pitch and ease of access onto site.
Disliked: Condition of toilets. I understand that work was on going to improve facilities but people staying in tents (camping on the grass) bringing mud into the facilities wasn’t the best.
Noise from the road was evident when we arrived but we soon got used to it.

Disliked: Felt like sleeping on the side of the highway, constant traffic noise and the occasional plane flying over.
Got assigned a flooded pitch and owners where not reachable.
There where socks and car mats left behind from previous campers.
No room for the kids to play.

We are sited where we are at a great place for visiting Chester the Wirral and North Wales, sadly there is a road close by which some people notice more than others. Also Liverpool Airport is about 30 minutes from our site.
On the day of your arrival your pitch would have been a little flooded as all of the surrounding areas had 12 hours of non stop rain which would have heavily contributed to your pitch.
Had we have know that there were remnants of other peoples belongings that were left behind, we would have quickly rectified the matter for you.
On the date of your arrival, our tenting area was not full which would have allowed plenty of space for your children to occupy themselves

Liked: The location for Chester was excellent. The site was a little enclave in a busy area , with a lovely cafe on site. They let you have a bbq and fire pit. We were in a weak area for the WiFi so was a bit unreliable.
Disliked: Being picky - the shower rooms were being renovated so probably aren’t finished , needs a dry dry area for getting changed - could be as simple as a wooden area raised if the wet floor. There was no hair drywr - though did not detract from the site - had a very nice time .

Disliked: No grey water discharge facility.
Site is bounded by two very busy roads & therefore not at all peaceful. The new toilet & showers were yet to be commissioned & the original ones were inadequate & unheated. My access email did not arrive so I had to gain access via the help of others. The site office was closed & neither telephone number was being answered. Apparently the site owner had been advised of an incorrect email address for me, later corrected by Pitchup, but still never received.

We are currently as you say in the process of updating our facilities but in the interim the original facilities are still in use and at all times ARE HEATED.
Automated emails are sent out to anyone arriving after the Office/Reception is closed but for those who book via Pitchup we rely on the correct information being keyed in by the booker as we are unable to contact anyone who doesn't give us the correct details.
lit was me you spoke to and as i confirmed to you, the email had been sent out at 08.13 on the day of arrival with all the pitch and access information contained within it.
We hope you had a safe onward journey and if passing again would take the opportunity to come and look at our Fully Refurbished Facilities.
