What customers say
This campground offers a peaceful stay with beautiful views and a convenient location near Swanage and coastal walks. Guests appreciate the friendly staff, clean facilities, and on-site cafe. While some find the pitches sloping and the shower token system inconvenient, many enjoy the spacious field and relaxed atmosphere. The farm animals are a popular attraction for families.

Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Nice big field with plenty of space. The flushing toilets rather than composting. Being able to see the pigs and alpacas on the near by fields. The children loved the farm which was not overly busy and had a great hands on feel. The view from the site was great. Finally the local pub is great.
Disliked The field was fairly hilly so needed to think about where to pitch the tent.

Great value family site, would definitely return.
Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Really lovely quiet family site, lots for the kids to do on the farm and in the soft play. Toilets and showers clean and fit for purpose. Sinks with hot water available to wash up in and a drinking water tap. We did unfortunately leave a day early but that was purely down to the absolute heat which was no reflection on the site it was just the sun sunning.
Disliked The water tap was a little slow so takes some time to fill up bottles.

We booked this as a basic campsite to take the kids to Swanage for a few days. We picked it for the very close location to town and easy access bus stop outside. Although we didn’t end up taking the bus we saw it running past in both directions very regularly.
Our stay was during the incredibly hot weather, I think day 60 of no rain in Surrey so unfortunately fire pits and disposal BBQs quite rightly were not allowed during our stay.
Check in was simple. Field is huge with campers mostly setting up round the edge. No shade at all. Lots of space in the middle for play. Field is on a hill so some games more difficult. The patch we chose was on a slight incline. I think flatter spots might have been at the top of the hill which was already full (and the furthest from the toilets) or perhaps right in the middle of the field.
However our kids had skateboards with them so really enjoyed whizzing down the hill. They also loved the pigs.
Toilets available (3 ladies, 2 men’s cubicles and 2 urinals). I never had to wait but there is also a public toilet at the entrance to the farm.
Two showers available- use 50p coins to operate. Temperature of water is set and did come out slightly hot then cold before settling on a good medium temp. One 50p perfectly fine for a body wash, 2 to include a shampoo/conditioner hair wash for ladies with long hair like me.
Both toilets and showers were fine, lots of cobwebs /spiders etc but toilets / shower floors were cleaned every day with toilet roll and hand wash replaced.
Two washing up basins available with hot water, and a separate drinking water tap (quite warm during our stay).
Site was absolutely fine for a cheap few nights away, great location (5 mins to Swanage, 15 to Durlston Country park or Corfe Castle), nice views, good skies in the evening and at night, campsite nice and quiet from around 10:30 onwards.
We didn’t use the cafe or farm itself so cannot comment on those.

Liked Choosing our own pitch
Disliked Pitch up said that we had to check in by 6pm so rushed our first day in Dorset to do so and found that there was no one onsite to check in when we arrived.
Although the toilets are cleaned once early in the morning by mid afternoon they were dirty with the floor littered in toilet paper. The two shower areas are disgusting, covered in spiders webs and soap residue with the floor covered in dirt/grass/sand you literally step out of your shoes into an already dirty shower tray.
There is a drinking water push tap but unable to fill a vehicle as often required by campers and mobile homes both of which can be booked.
