Lovely views & chill vibe, great for hikers. Plenty of spots, good showers/toilets. Some sloped pitches noted, with occasional noise from groups. Overall, excellent value.

Liked Nice walks with the dogs around the campsite
Disliked The fields on a slope if you dont mind it. It's not to bad. We pitched up near the road so was more leave.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked This site is in a fantastic location where you can wake up to stunning views across to Clough Head and Blencathra. Easy to find, off the road to Keswick
Disliked Lovely to have hot showers and toilets but there are not enough of them to cope with a busy bank holiday weekend.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked No fuss site with everything you could need. Basic but free hot showers and toilets with small washing up area. No check-in, just turn up and pitch.
Disliked Most of the site is on an incline, but there were some flatter spots at the bottom of the field. Drive to the bottom field was fine because of the dry weather, I would be wary if the ground was really muddy getting back up the hill....
A few larger groups but everyone was respectful and quiet by 11pm. I didn't see a site rep while there although there was a phone number - no one to enforce the no BBQs in the dry weather.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Just what we needed, loads of room to pitch up, gorgeous views, showers and toilets with toilet roll supplied, can’t really fault it at all for £44. Would deffo come back again
Disliked I didn’t dislike anything. Maybe the hill to get to the toilets but that’s our fault for pitching up at the bottom of it!

Best views by far
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked The views are absolutely stunning, great base for walking Blencathra and other walks, 5 minutes from Keswick, toilets/showers basic but manageable.
Disliked Nobody around to ask
Questions, no water in bottom field and it’s a bit of a hilly walk to the water.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Easy access to the open field to pitch up.
Disliked Condition of the shower and toilet facilities could be improved. There is a communal area next to the wash area that is covered in bird muck.
