What customers say

A well-kept, friendly site with lovely views and great walks. Guests love the spacious pitches, on-site bar & pizza. Toilets/showers are clean, though some find them a bit dated. Staff are a big plus, and many would come back.

Liked The pizza was amazing

Disliked Noisy site. Filthy toilets. Bar closed part of the week. Hand dryers in the toilets turned off through the week. Staff did not seem concerned when a complaint was made.

From the manager: Sorry you didn't enjoy your stay
We Clean our toilets 4 times on weekends and regularly midweek. Unfortunately someone pooed in a shower. this was cleaned as soon as it was seen
We encourage feedback as we are constantly improve our site and facilities and try and fix issues straight away. I am not sure who you spoke to, I asked the team and it wasn't any of them
The hand dryers had tripped so we just put them back on
We have a quiet policy and enforce it as we are a family friendly site
The bar is open 5 nights a week in September. It was open Sunday evening

Great place for hikers.

Walkers cabin (four person, ensuite)

Liked I stayed in walkers cabin. There were 4 of us and two dogs. The cabin had everything we needed. The location is great. Close to lost of hiking trails.

Disliked There were nothing to dislike. We all agreed that it could do with one or two more sockets.

Liked We had a wonderful stay at Dalesbridge. The site offers lots of different accommodation options, and we chose camping with electric – which worked perfectly for us. The location is absolutely beautiful, with stunning surroundings and plenty of open space to enjoy. Everything was very well maintained, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay.

The facilities were excellent – the toilets and showers were spotless, which makes such a difference. We especially loved the on-site pizzas (definitely book well in advance, they’re popular for a reason!) and the little shop was a real bonus, with delicious hot chocolates, fresh pastries, and a small but useful selection of essentials. Just be sure to check the opening times.

The history of the site was fascinating to learn about, adding an extra charm to the stay. It’s also very family friendly – our children loved spotting wildlife and had plenty of space to run around freely. The location is also really convenient for a wide range of activities in the area.

All in all, we had a fantastic experience and will definitely be visiting again!

Disliked Nothing major to dislike! Lots of toilet facilities on site – some were a little less convenient with young children (mainly due to size) but still clean and manageable if you don't want to walk to the next block.

Liked What a fantastic site. So much care and attention to everything and everything is spotless with the most amazing views 360 degrees. The bar is so cosy and the pizzas were the best I have had!! We can’t wait to come back and stay for longer. Nice so see so much wildlife around like the sheep in the next field, Cute rabbits basking in the sun and the most amazing sunsets. Ross is always on hand if you need anything. Highly recommended with a great vibe.

Disliked Nothing to dislike everything is perfect

Walkers cabin (four person, ensuite)

Liked Stayed in the walkers cabin with 3 kids, plenty space and great having the ensuite. Clean and tidy and good facilities for 1 night

Disliked The noise from the cabin next door, could hear every single word and this went on until 11pm then from 5am the next morning. Would suggest if some cabins are empty, like there were on our visit, to not put a family directly next to a group of 6 men when there were 3 or 4 empty cabins

Liked Spacious pitches, location near to good walking areas. Pizzas, bar. Helpful staff.

Disliked Some washing facilities overused, ie those by entrance would be good to have clearer directions to others.
Proximity to very busy road (but I know that can't be helped)

Local attractions

Starting 10 minutes away, the walk to Ingleton Falls is gentle but rewarding, and even though you’re heading deep down instead of up, the caverns and wild rock formations of Whitescar and Ingleborough caves make for unmissable wanders. For walks with wildlife, make the half-hour trip to Malham Cove, where a pair of nesting peregrine falcons can be spotted in the summer months, alongside resident populations of jackdaws and housemartins. You can climb the massive amphitheatre cliffs of the cove, or follow trails up and around taking in the glacial Malham Tarn and Janet’s Foss waterfall. To see some wildlife at closer quarters, the Settle Falconry Centre (five minutes' drive) has daily displays of flying and feeding and if you feel you’d like to soar through the skies, the Ribble Viaduct section of the Settle-Carlisle Railway makes a fair imitation. If all this outdoor, high altitude stuff has made you peckish, head over to the Wensleydale Creamery (40 minutes) to learn how the famed crumbly cheese is made… and then sample some, but of course.
