What customers say
Pinecones: praised for spotless, modern facilities (private washrooms!), friendly staff, spacious pitches, and dog-friendly trails. Ben's Bar & food popular. Road noise & app can be bothersome. Great for Sandringham/coast access.

Pine Views FHU cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Good value for money. Great pitches with seating area on each pitch (some have a covered dining are/picnic bench). Clean individual shower-rooms (each with a toilet, shower and tiled/heated floor and towel rail) & really liked the radio playing whilst showering! Nearby Co-op and a take away which delivers to the campsite, plus Ben’s onsite for food and drink. Very dog friendly, had a really relaxing weekend with friends who stayed in the pods. Strict noise policy (which is a bonus especially if you have kids in bed or are early to bed yourself). Was our second visit and we will definitely be back!
Disliked Using the app for electric was a bit of a faff and it turned off halfway through the day, but we hadn’t noticed. Quickly rectified through the app though. Road is l busy so could potentially spoil the peace (although didn’t bother us). You need to cross this road to access some of Sandringham. However the positives definitely outweigh this in our view

From the manager: We're pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay with us and appreciate your feedback.
With regard to the electricity system, we'd just like to mention one point that may be helpful for future guests. It is important to enter the correct departure date when setting up the account. If an earlier departure date is selected, the system will automatically switch the electricity supply off at 11:00am on that date.
If anyone has any difficulty setting up the system or is unsure which departure date to enter, our reception team is always happy to help and can even set everything up manually if preferred.
We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to Pinecones again soon.
Kind regards,
Martin

Pine Views camping pod
Liked Lovely quiet and chilled campsite. We stayed in a pod which was cute. Shower cubicles were clean and showers were good. The touring sites had little 2 seater bench seats, these would be nice outside each pod.
Disliked No “dislikes” but pods would benefit from a mirror and maybe a ceiling fan or similar as we stayed when it was 39 degrees!

From the manager: Thank you for your lovely review.
We're delighted to hear you enjoyed the peaceful, relaxed atmosphere at Pinecones and that you found your pod cosy and comfortable. It's also great to know the shower facilities were clean and that you enjoyed the quality of the showers.
Thank you for your helpful suggestions too. The recent spell of 39°C weather was certainly exceptional, and we appreciate your thoughts about adding a ceiling fan to the pods. We'll also consider your suggestion of providing a mirror and an outdoor two-seater bench, as guest feedback like yours helps us continue to improve the experience.
We hope to welcome you back again soon—perhaps when the Norfolk weather is a little kinder!
Kind regards,
Martin

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
We do have to say that we found it quite difficult to fully understand some of the points you were making, so we hope we've interpreted your comments correctly.
Regarding Ben's Bar, it is open every day from 9:30am until 3:00pm, and during the season it also opens on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings until 9:00pm. Our onsite food servery, Pine & Dine Away, is open on Friday and Saturday evenings, so there are plenty of opportunities for guests to enjoy food and drinks on site.
With regard to the gravel on Sandy Acres, this area is specifically named because it has a sandy, free-draining surface. This is intentional and helps keep the pitches usable throughout the year. During your stay, temperatures exceeded 37°C, which made the ground exceptionally hot and dusty. We completely understand that dogs may not enjoy walking on very hot stones in those conditions, just as many people would find them uncomfortable underfoot.
Finally, our site rules are there to help ensure everyone can enjoy a peaceful, safe and relaxing stay. They are one of the reasons so many of our guests choose to return to Pinecones year after year.
Kind regards,
Martin
