Beautiful evening
Beautiful witham river our pod and touring field are on the river bank
Hardstanding and grass pitches
New tour field upgrade is all finished and looking amazing - 19 hard-standing pitches

  • Scenic park on the river Witham, 10 minutes' drive from Tattershall
  • A 35-minute drive from Lincoln and 15 from Tattershall Farm Park
  • Playground, river fishing, waterside walks and pub-restaurant on site
What a splendid Lincolnshire location this is – with easy access to the pitches on tarmac roads, dog-friendly Riverview Caravan Park sits on the banks of the River Witham. You’re on holiday, so you’re justified in settling down by the water for lengthy periods with a book and/or picnic. Keep that view in sight by heading out for a waterside walk or launching your own paddleboard or kayak from the boat jetty too. Keen to go fishing? The site has a mile of fishing along the river, just 20 metres from the pitches – it’s good for tench, carp and bream. Keen to stay active? Lucky then that there’s a gym so you can fit in a good workout. Families can also amuse themselves at the playground and indoor pool (open during high season). If you are plane fans, RAF Conningsby and its World War II museum are 15 minutes’ drive away. Fighter jets and the occasional Lancaster fly overhead, so it can get a bit noisy (especially during the week), but regard it as your own personal air show and enjoy the sights. When it comes to food, the recently updated pub and restaurant has a beer garden overlooking the river. Every Friday night is happy hour between 5pm–7pm, and there are food offers on Saturday evenings as well as karaoke and bingo in the entertainment lounge. On Sundays, there’s a full carvery from 12pm until late. Local town Tattershall is less than 10 minutes away by car, and Lincoln city centre around 35 minutes.

Liked The staff are wonderful, helpful. Cheerful and try really hard to help.
The pub/bar is great, good selection of beers and Jenny is such a lovely helpful lady

Disliked The touring pitches are rather small, the toilet blocks are really cold and need repairs. Shower head held up with cable ties, lights out etc.

Camping pod

Liked Views were stunning, good base to venture out into the area. Good value 👏 pub on site which was warm and welcoming. Food was very good quality and good value. We stayed new year and there was a party and although we didnt go in the hall because of our dogs it looked like a good time was had by all
Pod was warm, basic but had a fridge, kettle and toaster. Close proximity to the loos and the pub and could park our car right next to pod.
There was issue first night either electricity but Phil regularly updated us on what was happening. It didnt affect our stay

Disliked Mats outside pod might be good idea to wipe feet before going in pod but again didnt affect our stay.

Liked Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely walks and local villages

Disliked Downside we had was several power cuts and having to run the heating off our gas which was disappointing as we paid for full electric hookup!
So in effect it cost us a bottle of gas to keep warm
Several people had to leave the site as they didn’t have power, so at least we were
lucky to have some power.

Great New Year’s Eve party in the bar and free food supplied

Maybe better in summer when the pool and gym are open.

We would visit again, IF the power was guaranteed to be working

From the manager: Thank you for your review
Camping in the winter is not fir the fant heated

As said before Yes we had issues with electric
It was a national grid issue out of our hands

But I must say my super team handel the problem very well . Even though the temper dropped to -8

The hole of the festive season was a complete success

And only £ 20.per night
And with pitch up voting us 2nd out of 380 other Lincolnshire touring field and carivan parks
Congrats to the riverview team

Good size pitches…

Liked Good size pitches

Disliked Unfortunately, our stay at this touring caravan site was very disappointing. The toilet and shower blocks were extremely cold, with no heating, making it impossible to have a proper shower during our stay.

We also experienced three separate electric cut-outs while we were there. Rather than investigating the issue properly, the owner immediately blamed us, which was frustrating and upsetting. It later became apparent that someone in one of the holiday pods had brought in a large industrial heater, which could very well have been the cause of the power problems — something that was outside of our control.

Due to the ongoing issues, lack of basic comfort, and the way the situation was handled, the experience became so unpleasant that we felt we had no choice but to leave early. This was not the relaxing break we had hoped for, and we would not choose to stay here again

From the manager: Hello thank you fir your review we take these very seriously
How ever like your traveling co camper !
On your motor home you have the option. If gas heating or electric because of the issues we had with the national grid local power conection piont

We spend about 12 hour with them and our electrision sorting the problem .

And we informed and asked if you could only.please use your gas heating as when the out side temperature drop to -8 c

There were very challenging conditions
My staff and I worked through the night

And we asked uou and all the other campers about how they were heating there touras you told us you were using your gas
But we both know you were using electric heaters as three times that night the electric went down . I understand the.problems due to the freezing tempeturs

After been up all.night
Your partner came to me in the morning asking were he can buy a gas bottle funny that after three visits to your camper
He did apologise fir using the electric heaters .( which was part of the problem)

Other people understood our problem and worked with us they went bought gass heaters etc but you blatantly said you were using gas and you were not
Let me tell you the consequences of your lies to us

On in structure from the national grid we had to close the touring field

So 50 people had there holiday cancel
We lost revenue as they have all been refunded
The bar resturant lost out to

So when you only paying 20 pounds a night
Please camping in the winter is challenging

It's not 5 star i suggest you stick to just the summer

And beleave me i wish I had an.optoon to scoure my client

You could have got - 100 !!!!!!!

The problem you caused

Thank you

Overall enjoyed my stay.

Liked Friendly helpful staff. The bar area with television, and adjacent pool table, was relatively lively but not too loud.
Enjoyed walks along river Withum.
Electric hook up good, level concrete site.
Facilities clean. No nightime noise.

Disliked No drinking water taps, but bar staff kindly filled my water container, via kitchen.
For December, it would be appreciated if there was some form of heating in the ablutions.

From the manager: Hello Chrisy
you for your review of one star
Which i find totally unfair my team work so hard over the new year and xmass day sacrificing this time with the families
Every body had a great time

But I very sorry my godly powers could not stop the power cut in the area

The national grid electric guys worked for hours and they had to come back three time

And as you see by the other reviews your marking is not fair our site is so clean
The bar and resurant amazing and I pride. Y self on customer service as you can see. Y the othere reviews which has elevated us to second place out of 380 other camp site in Lincolnshire

Your marking
Value for money 1 star . So £20 per night is to much over xmass is amazing
Cleaners well my guys do an amazing job

I can only think you not happy because of the power cut was out of out and
Well boo hoo you please dont come back
Your not welcome

I would say it’s okay site…

Liked I would say it’s okay site but I would not book any longer than three nights. Shower is not very good. Electric kept going but that could’ve been one of the other campers using the wrong equipment so no we won’t be going back again.

From the manager: Thank you fir your review we take things very seriously
Yes national grid we at our site all night mending there problem
And yes the power kept going of
Which was out of our hands

The shower are always nice and hot

It's typical the coldest night of the year and the local area had a problem

There said it was over loading
But all fixed now

Many people stay longer than the three days
But camping out in the winter months is always a challenge
Not for the fant hearted

Thank you

Local attractions

Having viewed your own bit of the river, it’s likely that you’ll be enticed into getting out for a walk – especially when you learn that there are a couple of riverside pubs nearby. There’s more strolling to be done in Tattershall Lakes Country Park (five minutes’ drive), plus the chance of watery activity at Just Wake wakeboarding centre (10 minutes). Take off to Tattershall Castle (10 minutes’ drive) – a textbook version with a moat and 15th-century tower to potter around. Just outside town is Tattershall Farm Park (15 minutes), where egg collecting, sheep shearing and hanging out with hairy Highland cows are likely to meet with approval from youngsters (and probably their parents too…). A day out in Lincoln (35 minutes) must surely be on the list – it’s got a real slice of history, being home to one of the four original copies of the Magna Carta. You’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time if you catch a film at Kinema in the Woods (15 minutes) too: the flicks have been running since 1922 and there’s still a resident organist to provide the tunes.
