What customers say
A peaceful, small campsite in a quiet village, great for families. Hosts are friendly & attentive, facilities are clean with spacious showers. Animal interactions are a highlight. Conveniently located with a pub & playground nearby. Some note composting toilets can be tricky for kids/mobility, and a few cold showers. Motorhome access is tight.

Really good site and really hospitable hosts
Powered grass campervan or tent campsite
Liked The site was lovely, nice and small and the pitches really good and more than big enough, and nicely spaced apart from each other. Nice views of the church and surrounding areas. The goats, chickens and ducks were fun and great for the kids, who were allowed to help feed them every morning. Showers and toilets were clean and well-maintained, and it was useful having a hob, microwave, fridges and freezers provided. Chantal and Mark were amazing, friendly and helpful and super-relaxed which was everything we wanted, and I got a really helpful text before we stayed giving more info. The surrounding area was really picturesque with lots of lovely walks and a good pub in the village. It was really easy and straightforward to get to the site and easy to find. A great campsite and we'll plan on going back again! Eggs were available from the chickens and ducks too which was a nice extra!

Liked Excellent pitches, lots of space, clean loos and shower rooms, very good facilities and lovely owners. We loved the animals and Chantal let my children help feed the sheep and goats. A great base for our plans in Hereford, Hay on Wye and Ludlow.
Disliked Only a small gripe but travelling on my own (with children) I had to jump in and out of the car to open and shut gates a lot!

Liked We had a lovely quiet pitch - the site is away from busy roads. Beautifully clean site. Great communication with the hosts and a 12 noon check-in and out. Recommended.

From the manager: Thank you so much Sue...always happy to host fellow park runners.....great to meet you.

Powered grass campervan or tent campsite
Liked Lovely location and the layout of the pitches is great. The pitches and paths between them are mown into longer grass which is something I would love to see in more smaller sites. The hosts were really helpful and welcoming but the stars of the show were, of course, the animals, particularly the goats and a very friendly cat! My son could have happily spent the entire weekend feeding the goats if we didn't have anything else planned. There is a decent sized playground directly opposite the entrance to the site and the local pub is a 2-3 minute walk away. The food there was very nice.
Disliked I know it has been mentioned in other reviews but the only complaint we had with the site was with the toilets. Were it not for them I would be leaving a 10/10 review. The inside locks definitely need replacing and it would be nice to have more substantial lights in them for when it's dark. We were aware ahead of our stay that they were compost toilets and had no issue with that beforehand. In theory they're great. In practice it only takes one person to miss the instructions (which were only printed in one of the two toilets) for it to become pretty unpleasant. There's a urine diverter just below the front of the seat that separates liquids from solids but when this inevitable got filled almost to the top with toilet paper and sawdust it made it very uncomfortable, particularly as a man with things hanging in that direction, to sit down. Also if you have any mobility issues at all I can't say that they would be easy to use. Obviously I can only speak from our experience with them and if used properly by everyone (I've included photo of the instructions) I'm sure they're fine. One positive I have to add is that I really didn't notice a smell from them.

From the manager: Hi Oliver, thank you so much for such a lovely review and we're delighted you enjoyed your stay with us.
You're l right the eco loos have a personality all if their own and that's documented in the site description in Pitch up..
You're absolutely right about the lack of smell and that's because of the urine diverter that you've mentioned.😀
We try our very best to keep the toilets clean and they are checked at least twice a day by us...really hard to stop what others do in between those checks😕
We also provide cleaning facilities within the loos so campers can share the load...🤞🤞🤞
Thank you for pointing out the missing instructions from one of the loos, these have now been replaced.
We have rechargeable motion activated lights in both loos, I'm guessing one of them must have run out of steam whilst you were there..new ones fitted after your review, thank you for that.
Hopefully the eco credentials are appreciated and that offsets some of the quirkiness 😁
Fantastic that your son loved the goats and Tismo the cat as much as we do and we'd love to see you again one day
We're always looking to improve things and your feed back is much appreciated.
Best wishes, Mark and Chantal
