Liked Very friendly reception in the pub where the landlord sorted out payment etc; before showing us to our very spacious pitch.
It's small and quiet site and very well situated for cycling around the levels and rolling countryside.
The facilities were nice and clean though limited.
Food was great and a very good selection of beers and ciders were available.
Disliked Only one urinal and one flush toilet in the mens facilities

Owl powered grass caravan site (XL)
Liked We were met by a very courteous and helpful gentleman who showed us to our spacious pitch.
The facilities are excellent and very clean and a bus stop right by the entrance was very convenient.
A great place to cycle and walk from.
Disliked We stayed for three nights but had to pay for a week of WiFi (provided by an external company) which at £20 is a tad expensive as we still couldn't connect the smart TV and our calls to the help line were ignored.
The pitch sloped and even with a leveller we couldn't get our campervan level.

Liked The site is beautifully maintained with spotless facilities.
As a base for our cycle rides it is in a perfect position.
Having the local shop only a quarter of a mile away is a real plus as was the once a week chip van a bit further away. Excellent fish and chips by the way with huge chip portions.
Another pleasure of the site was the incredible night sky.......best watched with a glass of wine!!

Powered gravel caravan site
Liked On arrival we were given a very friendly welcome and given a choice of pitches (it was early March and quiet).
First impressions were very good. The site is well maintained and the shower block very clean.
The site is situated right beside The Granite Way which was ideal for our cycle rides to Lydford and beyond and gave great walking access to Yes Tor.
The Pump and Pedal cafe/bike shop next door serves good food and has knowledgeable staff for fixing bikes.
There is also a petrol station with Waitrose shop less than a mile away.
