  • The campground/park does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.
  • No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.
  • Facilities/activities including all boat hire and beauty salon are subject to extra charges payable on arrival.
  • Entertainment and activities are available between 01/03 and 31/10.
  • Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.
  • The campground/park caters for families (immediate members) and couples only - bookings from all other forms of groups are not accepted.
  • Tents are not accepted at this park.
  • Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the campground/park are unlit.
  • Bookings must not consist of more than 3 different households.
  • No gas barbecues allowed.
  • No charcoal barbecues allowed.
  • No electric barbecues allowed.
  • If reception is closed on arrival: please contact the number provided on your booking confirmation.

A ripper riverside spot, this place is neat as a pin with ace, super-clean loos. Good-sized sites. Easy walks/bikes to York, pub nearby. Wash-up spots are a bit tight, loos can be steamy. Cafe bar hours a bit stingy for some, WiFi hit-and-miss.

Liked Quiet place, well organized pitches, beautifully done. Clean facilities newly renovated. Easy to catch a buss to York.

Disliked Only one washing up sink for 25 pitches.

Liked The whole place was spotless and picturesque. There was an issue with our booking, however, the staff at the riverfront called to explain the issue in advance and had a satisfactory resolution to the problem in place already, should it be acceptable to us. Excellent customer service. We will definitely be back!

Disliked Quality toilet/ swr block but Lack of ventilation in toilet block wc cubicles causes them to over heat and retain unwanted odours
