What customers say

Great, well-kept park with roomy, flat sites and a friendly vibe. Guests loved the spotless, modern private bathrooms. Handy for Norfolk coast exploring. Staff are super helpful. A few found it a bit noisy from the road and wanted more secure dog areas. Still a top spot for a chill getaway.

Sandy Acres powered grass and sand site (small)

Liked Not a lot

Disliked Local traffic noise! A bit of a ‘mix it up’ Motorhomes, caravans and tents all in the same place and quite cramped. Open fires burning so gad smoke coming straight into Motorhome. Apparently there are stunning views but we didn’t see them. Would we go again? No

Pine Views fully-serviced concrete slab caravan site (comfort)

Liked A second visit that was just a perfect as the first!

The location is just fabulous, the facilities are superb. It really is a hidden gem of a touring site. We messaged to request a specific pitch prior and they responded to say that they had allocated us our requested pitch. We can’t wait to return, this is our favourite touring site to date. It’s an ideal location for touring the Norfolk coast with facilities and a site that are top notch! Thank you Pine Cones x

Sandy Acres powered grass and sand site (small)

Liked Shower & toilet facilities were lovely.

Disliked Pitches were not laid out very well and felt cramped. All the pitches are in together so we’re sharing with tents. Pitch opposite us had a big open fire both nights which ruined it for us. Can really hear the road even though we were the furthest pitches away from the road.
When we arrived people were on our pitch so we had to wait for them to move.

Sandy Acres powered grass and sand site (small)

Liked Very pleasant site. Toilet / showers were clean. Pot wash was a good size too. Laminated walk guides in reception with a small shop. Small bar with food too. A small bit of road noise but was pretty quiet during the night.

Disliked Nothing (apart from the remarkably low hand driers)

Sandy Acres powered grass and sand site (small)

Liked A very beautiful and well maintained place. Everything clean and well thought through. Super nice and clean bathrooms. Rental bikes. A cafè/bar with friendly staff, cafe, snacks and 3 beers on tap.
Would definetly come back and recommend

Disliked I booked a spot for 1 small tent. I got allotted a huge spot with very uneven, hard and slanted floor full of gravel. Probably meant for a mobile home or van.
I would have preferred a smaller one with softer and straighter floor but there was no one at the reception all day to arrange a swap.

Sandy Acres powered grass and sand site (small)

Liked This was my first ever time camping and I loved it!
The size of the pitch was plenty big enough for 2 cars plus a 5 man tent.
It’s a really nice, small camp site, with everything you need.
It’s not too far to walk to toilets or reception. Everywhere looked clean and tidy. Staff were nice and helpful.
I really liked the maps of the walk routes that they had at reception, we used 2 of these maps.

Disliked The smell in the toilet/bathrooms!! although I loved that they were full bathrooms, with each individual cubical having a shower, toilet and sink, the first block of toilets, closet to sunny acres, where really quite smelly!! Clean but smelly.
Bens Bar didn’t seem to be open much, and they only offered food Wednesday , Friday and Saturday nights which were themed nights, eg Saturday was pizza night so you could only order pizza.
Maybe only other down side would be the road noise if I was being picky!

Pine Views fully-serviced concrete and grass site

Liked We had a pines view fully serviced hard standing, which by the photos we believed we had a covered seating area included, we didn’t, we got two wooded seats. The pitches are spacious, level gravel pitches which made setting up straightforward. The site had a good atmosphere and plenty of information available on local walks and food options, even though we didn’t make use of these during our stay. A well-organised site overall.

Disliked The middle shower block gets very busy and can become dirty quite quickly—it would be helpful to have some toilets separate from the showers. The facilities near reception were quieter and cleaner. Road noise was also noticeable at times.
Would be nice to be able to choice a pitch with or without the covered seating area.

Local attractions

Beaches, historic houses, museums and festivals, tiny villages, market towns and fab family days out are all easily accessible from Pine Cones Caravan and Camping – after a day at Sandringham, but of course, to wave at the king first... Within a couple of miles, the deer safaris, farming activities and walking trails of Snettisham Deer Park and the sights and smells of Norfolk Lavender are both good options for a day out; Snettisham has an RSPB reserve too for those itching to twitch. But as you're probably in west/north Norfolk for the beaches, head to Heacham, Holkham and Hunstanton first, the closest sands to Pine Cones, and then take a trip to Brancaster 11 miles away; the family-friendly and very scenic sands of Sheringham, Cromer and Mundsley are a little further along the coast. (Also, the final scenes of Shakespeare in Love were filmed at Holkham, and all the beaches in these parts are fairly filmworthy, so bring your camera.) Other excellent options for days out include village hopping and shopping among the scenic sights of Dersingham, Holt, Fakenham, Aylsham and Burnham Market to pick up some local produce, or going along to one of Norfolk's festivals or events: there's usually something going on throughout the year. Pine Cones is also on the edge the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – bring walking boots, crabbing nets and plenty of room for picnics.
