St Andrews Lakes

Μου άρεσε I thoroughly enjoyed my full moon paddle, sleepover’ and following day paddle board jaunt! I have stayed at the campsite often and I go paddle boarding there even more often!!
The staff are always friendly, polite and very helpful! A visit here never fails to take me away from any outside stress! The shower was good - although only one for around ten pitches - thankfully, I’ve never had to wait. The toilets were clean. Each pitch has a solid camping table, cold water tap and fire pit! Fab!!!

Take note; unless planning to spend time on an onsite activity, there is nothing locally to do or visit unless prepared to drive - also no dogs allowed to camp 😢

Δεν μου άρεσε Please stop raising the prices on activities and camping so radically - an example of this was this weekend when camping went from £25 per night to jump to £35?
Sadly, this increase will force me to reduce my visits….

Very friendly staff
Good clean facilities, plenty of hot water.
Individual water supply to the pitches.
Good bus route to Rochester
Quiet site
Great pizza.

Δεν μου άρεσε No wifi, it would be good to have this available.
Only 1 shower and 3 toilets for the site (8 pitches). This is not sufficient when the site is full

Μου άρεσε Views and facilities. Peaceful. Good walking, separate pitches were. Well equipped with fire pit and large picnic table.

Μου άρεσε Lovely location for an overnight stay. Good clean facilities. I've stayed here a couple of times and will do so in the future. Great lake on sight for watersport activities. Cafe and pizza parlour on site. Also new zip wire. Short walk to local supermarket. Helpful staff to hand.

Δεν μου άρεσε This site was such a disappointment. There were 6 pages of rules for the site, the site was a converted car park and we were jammed in like sardines. The beach was fenced and you could not see it or access it without booking a ‘session’. It is run like a private beach with security and it appears there are a lot of staff and I’m sure it gets busy . Road traffic noise all night. One shower for the campers and 2 toilets- totally inadequate. The actual regenerated quarry was lovely but we could not see it or explore freely. Would not recommend for touring only day stay.

To clarify, our pitch fee covers the accommodation only, with activities available separately should guests wish to book them - many do, and many simply enjoy the site itself. All guests receive a welcome pack, which outlines our campsite rules and includes details on how to book a discounted staycation pass (£20 for unlimited use of your own equipment during your stay).

We’re proud to be rated 8.8 on PitchUp and 4.4 stars across more than 1,200 reviews, and we limit ourselves to just 8 pitches to ensure a comfortable environment. With over 15 toilets on site and dedicated staff in place for guest safety around the water, we aim to balance relaxation with security.

Μου άρεσε Superb! Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Accommodating us when we arrived on August Bank Holiday Sunday when we’d inadvertently booked the following week! No panic no fuss just a plan.
Facilities are good, but a bit stretched when site is full, only 8 pitches, of families.
Pizzas are very good.
Lovely walk outside the park area to micro brewery, farm shop and butchers.

You're absolutely right – during peak times the facilities can get a little stretched, and your suggestions about additional showers, clearer walking access, and pitch descriptions are all incredibly helpful. As for walking around the lake and more nature-focused routes – you're not alone in wanting more of that! We're currently exploring options to expand walking access and create more opportunities for guests to connect with nature during their stay.
