Μου άρεσε: Friendly staff to check us in, booked us in for tea, gave directions to walk into Masham. Quiet site no issues at all whilst there and would definitely come back.

Μου άρεσε: Early in season so had choice of pitches which are a good size, need levellers as field slopes. Quiet, peaceful site during the week.
Various walks from campsite but you do need a map or OS app as some footpaths rarely used! Easy walk into Masham.
We walked each day and totalled over 30 miles. We were able to walk to Masham, Druids Temple (very good cafe) along with Masham again, and on the last day Jervaulx Abbey passing Brymor ice cream parlour on the way, a perfect stop! Cafe not open at Jervaulx!
The walk to Jervaulx Abbey was the least travelled which included having to climb 2 fences as no footpath access, a hard dry ploughed field and an interesting route through a wood - under and over branches to avoid a boggy area! But the scenery was beautiful, we saw and heard numerous birds.
Our first trip away this year. Yorkshire is a beautiful county and the beer in this area is epic and well earned after a long walk.

Pub open limited hours - had to look on website. Need to book for food at weekend.
In the campsite information on pitchup it says walk information available from pub - no, we were told it’s online only.

I don’t think the toilet block was cleaned while we stayed (4 nights).

On the saturday, the last night of a lovely peaceful stay someone was playing music until 4am!!! A shame when you have a long drive home.

Μου άρεσε: Tidy, well kept site. Beautiful setting/ views. Toilet and shower block clean and functional, showers hot. Pub on site, decent food, reasonably priced. Scott was friendly and welcoming.

Δεν μου άρεσε: Wifi wasn’t great. No park or activities for kids but we knew that on booking.

Μου άρεσε: Lovely friendly site, very nice staff, toilet block very clean.
Food in the pub was fantastic.
Definitely be making a return visit, our favourite place to date.

Μου άρεσε: Peaceful site in a beautiful setting. Facilities were nice and clean. Staff in pub friendly and food was fab.

Μου άρεσε: Lovely little campsite. We were greeted on arrival by the owner who showed us to our pitch giving us an option of the sunny side or the shady side as we had dogs.

The site is small but had everything we needed. The pub onsite was ideal after a long day of walking and exploring the Yorkshire Dales. The food was lovely.

I was worried with only two showers in the ladies block that we would struggle to get a shower on the Saturday as it was bank holiday weekend and most pitches were full, but it wasn’t a problem. We stayed 4 nights and I only waited two minutes at most for a shower. Most mornings I walked straight in no waiting.

Toilet block was clean and facilities fine.

We would be happy to return.

Μου άρεσε: The scenery and rural location, Masham Village.

Δεν μου άρεσε: The toilet shower block was in need of updating, we stayed for 3 nights 4 days and the camp site was completely full with approx 50 caravan/camper motor homes with 2 showers in male and female toilets and these were not cleaned over the 4 days.
The owner seemed to care more for seasonal pitch users and looking after them showing disinterest in weekend tourers, he was very rude to other groups of tourers and was very arrogant.
There is a pub on site which again was poorly managed for paying customers unless you were part of the locals (seasonal pitch users) whom got reserved tables although they invaded the outdoor area.
Overall this was a poorly run site and we will not visit again any time soon.

Μου άρεσε: Lovely little site .me and my wife stayed for 3 nights .pub at bottom verry nice food .I would recommend the ale pie verry nice .

Μου άρεσε: In the midst of lovely rolling countryside. Behind a pleasant pub serving food. Nice walk to Masham and to the interesting folly of Druids Temple.

Δεν μου άρεσε: Only two showers and three toilets in gents toilet block. Maybe a couple more would help when campsite full, as it was on VE Day weekend.

Μου άρεσε: It was handy having the pub there for a drink or a meal.

Δεν μου άρεσε: Owner was not very friendly. Little information when I checked in. Lots of weeds growing on and around my pitch. I didn’t see anyone clean the toilet and shower area while I was there. It was a 2.5 mile walk to get anywhere if you didn’t want to use transport (Masham), with no pavements and quite a fast road. No wifi at all, not even in the pub.
