Μου άρεσε: Location is in the middle of nowhere and seemed peaceful

Δεν μου άρεσε: Where do I start...greeted by a lady who drove us up the road to the other side of the park and showed us where to put our van. There were no other tourers there, the ground was uneven and very little room if any other tourers did turn up. As far as knowing anything else about the park as in where showers or toilets were, how to navigate the park etc we weren't told a thing. We had a walk around the park and used the toilets which were unclean and obsolete. We didn't find the showers. We walked a way back to the reception area to find the cafe bar only opens Friday to Sunday and there wasn't a shop open currently as it is under maintenance. We walked to the park for our son to use which was padlocked up with a keycode which we hadn't been given the code for, therefore he couldn't use. The park seemed overall very rundown and derelict and we weren't made to feel welcome therefore after walking around we decided to leave. Never had an experience like it before.

We always aim to create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our guests, and it’s clear from your review that we fell short in several areas during your stay.
We would also like to clarify a couple of points. All of our touring and accommodation areas are accurately described at the time of booking, including any limitations or facility schedules, so guests can make an informed decision before arrival.
In regard to the play park, we’d like to clarify that it is never locked to guests. There are two gates side-by-side, one for guest entry and another larger gate designated for maintenance vehicle access. The maintenance gate is kept locked for safety reasons, but the entry gate remains open at all times for guest use. We understand this may have caused some confusion, and we’ll look into making signage clearer to prevent this in the future.

Thank you again for your feedback. While we regret that your experience wasn't a positive one, it helps us identify where we can improve and deliver a better experience moving forward.

Μου άρεσε: Very friendly welcome, grass pitch as described, slightly disappointed with the washroom facilities near our pitch, but overall a nice site, with good food in the onsite bar.

Μου άρεσε: Green grass park is honestly a little peace of heaven!! The pitch is perfect!! Waking up to see the lake then watching the sunset over it on the evening! I don’t want to leave! 😍 the site is well kept & peaceful & the staff are all so helpful & friendly! My son has also been fishing all weekend & had a great time. We will definitely be back! My favourite site by far! 🥰

Δεν μου άρεσε: No where in the rules did it state no drones when I flew mine up I had some moody elder come tell me I’m not allowed to fly them on there even tho didn’t state that in rules, also on top of that it no where stated you had to pay extra to your booking online to fish the lake over night so that was an unexpected further purchase after arriving

Μου άρεσε: Nothing much to be honest staff were nice but that was it four motorhome bays lake side were ok food in bar ok but no beer on for Sunday dinner?
We booked on for five nights but left two days early

Fishing was poor apparently the people in statics say after the floods fish have gone apart from pike and catfish the fishing photos and website all need updating to let people know the pictures are from four year ago it’s more like a boating paddle boarding lake nearly every stactic have a boat one of them sites people just build in wood what they want
No walks around apart from lake no bus stops we left two days early

Δεν μου άρεσε: Check in before 5pm no one on reception at 4-40 pm ,a poor pitch ,1 toilet and a shower out of order 2 separate showers in need of updating booked for 2 nights only stayed 1 due to the site and no 4g WiFi would not recommend its mostly a static site
