Lower Lacon Caravan Park

Μου άρεσε Really great service from staff and the site is well patrolled / kept clean etc. Good parks for the kids as there are two on each end.

Δεν μου άρεσε Very large site and there is a lot of permanent residents that make lots of areas shanty town looking and derelict. The site seems to be a bit mish mash in terms of its set up and what it’s aiming for. Lots of E Bikes zooming around too…We personally wouldn’t stay again and have two young kids.

Μου άρεσε What an incredible camp site this is!
We very nearly booked another night only for my husband not being able to get if off work the next day!
Every single staff member we came across were amazing,
The outdoor pool, the bar, the bottle top bingo, the club, the site everything was delightful! Everywere was nice and clean, everyone was so polite, welcoming and friendly! We would highly recommend this site and we will 100% be coming back to visit!
This was our first time camping and what an amazing first choice this was! So thank you! We WILL be back!

Δεν μου άρεσε Absolutely shocking experience I was not allowed on the site, I have a van for motocross only not work related use at all they wouldn’t let me on the site unless i kept my van in a lock up with no access for the weekend the manager said I should get a refund, absolutely never choose this site again & other van where going in & out why we was waiting for staff to sort us -5 out of 5

As I said at the time the other vans had told us about the van and use the van storage during their stay.
In the PitchUp rules it says,
Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.

I also double checked and you sent multiple emails that said about vans

So although PitchUp may not be so black and white to you. I think in our own email information with you we did say vans are not permitted. So we tried our very best to keep you informed, thank you for making it obvious that vans are not allowed with this review.

Food and choice of drinks great. Swimming pool looked fab, but we didn’t use

Site cancelled second booking even though pitch up allowed it.
Said accessible showers but no sets in the actual shower

Μου άρεσε outdoor pool, pitch size, cleaniness, park, facilities absolutely everything

however our set up was a large tent, camper with awning, 4 kids, 2 aduklts and 2 dogs. if you want a bigger pitch size (cheaper than booking 2 seperate pitches), then do direct as they reserve those ones for direct campers.

Μου άρεσε My kids loved the park. The size of the pitch was great and the privacy from the hedge.

Δεν μου άρεσε Most other things. It was really hard to pitch as under the thin layer of grass is just stone. The pitches weren’t very well marked out and the map they give you is useless. The ladies in reception were very unhelpful and rude. The pool was freezing and not very clean. We were in the family pitches and they’re not anywhere near any toilets or washing up facilities. The showers are outdated and you have to be careful what time of day you shower as they might be cold. Some of the other campers were just feral!! One child got run over by another child going around on his motorbike!! I smelt drugs being smoked numerous times but didn’t see where it coming from. All in all we didn’t enjoy our stay here and won’t be rushing back.

There’s a long list of things that we disliked.. not enough toilets or washing up facilities, the ones there were filth.
The staff in reception were rude and extremely unhelpful.
The pool was freezing and dirty.
You can’t actually put any tent pegs in because it’s just rocks and stones under a thin layer of grass.
Majorly over crowed!

Μου άρεσε Our first camping trip and this site was amazing, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Great value for money and food and drinks were good prices didnt feel ripped off if anything was the opposite.
