Μου άρεσε Fantastic site. Lots of nature, stream running through with little fish, rope swings and stepping stones. Like something out of a fairy tale.

Check in was easy and we were provided with a grass protector for our Firepit.

We didn’t leave the site for the full 48 hours. Was bliss! Already looking at another booking!

Δεν μου άρεσε The shower and toilet facilities in the hut blocked easily, the toilet next to the cave bar was much better.

That said we’ll be visiting again!

Μου άρεσε Absolutely gorgeous campsite, we were lucky enough to have the site to ourselves. ( midweek) the setting is exceptional especially if you like wildlife and birds.
We were two adults but it would be great for children too especially in the warmer months. It's lovely. Will definately go back.

Δεν μου άρεσε If I had to critique, which I don't like to do, would be the wooden toilet block would benefit from updating or brightening up. Also cleaning prior to guests arriving even if there is only two guests due. This however wasn't bad at all but I guess it's the little touches that makes the biggest impact.

Μου άρεσε The stream that runs through is stunning, &the kids loved splashing in it.
Our first day was lovely, it really felt like you was in a completely different place & was so peaceful.

Δεν μου άρεσε The site became very busy and felt very cramped with tents absolutely everywhere. Due to this we left on our second day after having paid for 3 nights. There was also a group of women behind us who were very loud and did not quieten down until around 2AM, even though quiet time was supposed to be from 22:30.
There was also no hot water in the showers during our stay.
Overall, it is a lovely little site, would have just been better if it hadn’t been so over booked and if it was managed better. e.g. walk rounds at quiet time to ensure guests aren’t loud, do not over book, manage where people are placing their tents.

Μου άρεσε Beautiful scenery spacious pitch with the river running through it's very peaceful

Δεν μου άρεσε Facilities.....very basic and disappointed with toilet facilities, we were there 2 nights and toilets were never cleaned while we were there bins overflowing in toilets, wouldn't even contemplate using the shower as no hot water anyhow.
Washing up facilities just one sink for the size of the site.
Describes a bar in pitch up description but it's not really a bar as it's not stocked. Also describes walking trails but u have to drive as there is nothing in the area.

Yes there was an issue with no hot water in the showers and once a guest informed us it was recified straight away. You should have popped over to reception if you had any issues whilst you were here, so they could have been recitfied, most guests if they have a problem let us know. We have a walking trail guide book in reception. If you had asked I would have given you it. All from the site and no driving involved. Sorry you found fault with our bar and did not see the activies we held over the weekend. We had a chrildrens disco, bingo, quiz and the duck race down the river. So I believe there was plenty of activities to engage in on site.

Μου άρεσε Absolutely gorgeous scenery. The noise from the nearby road didn't bother us.
The pitches weren't the most level, but it didn't affect us at all, and it added to the gorgeous landscape.
Hearing the stream and birds was beautiful.
Well maintained.
The trees were used for a lot of the park structures, which was a nice touch and unique.

Δεν μου άρεσε Not much of a 'shop'.
People kept flushing nappies and wipes down the toilets which blocked the showers and 2 of the toilets. However, these issues were dealt with asap and with regular updates from the maintenance man.

Μου άρεσε Lovely cabin perfectly situated and felt like home from home. Has everything you need . Such a lovely campsite with welcoming hosts. An added bonus was the cave bar with fire pits which was lovely to sit around whilst the children played safely around the site. Booked again for the summer holidays.

Δεν μου άρεσε Shower and toilet facilities poor, dirty. We’re not cleaned during three days we stayed. Showers and toilets blocked and flooding. Couldnt park car near pitches or get car close to pitch due to the river

The toilets were cleaned regularly during your stay. We had to do this even more often due to someone flushing baby wipes and nappies down the toilet when there are signs saying not too.

We allowed you to park near your pitch to unload and then move them due to the amount of rain we have had recently and the ground isn’t the most solid and we didn’t want anyone to get stuck.

Μου άρεσε Spacious pitches with plenty full of electric hook ups. Cave bar and entertainment was a good hit, especially for the kids during the Easter holidays. Please bear in mind if the river is high, that you can’t drive through and park beside your tent.

Δεν μου άρεσε Nothing much but worth noting the shower block was small and in need of updating especially when you stay for a few days.

Δεν μου άρεσε The cave bar prices seem to be a little off. Staff seemed to be making prices up a little bit. Start of the weekend 2 drinks was under £10 then it went up to £10 for 2 drinks and on my last drink on Sunday I payed £6.50 for 1 pint of peroni. We where also told not to have an open fire even tho when we booked it said we where aloud if off the ground. This was confirmed by the site map which had the rules on the back and it said open fires are aloud if off the ground. These 2 issues did put a dampener on our stay

Thanks for your review.
You should have been informed about open fires, we decided at the end of the last season we were not going to include these on our pitches due to burn marks on our grass.
The prices in the bar were changing due to dates, we had some stock going out of date at the end of April that we wanted to sell but we sold this cheaper than usual price, we may have ran out of this stock , hence the price increase , there was a note on one of our fridges stating this.
Peroni is £6.50 per pint anyway.
