Positiv We had a lovely, peaceful stay at this very quiet campsite, which is within a short drive of both Buxton and Bakewell.
Chatsworth House is well worth a visit and is around a 25-minute drive away. If you’re planning to go, it’s worth booking online in advance, as parking is then included with your booking. If you pay for entry at the gate, there is an additional £10 parking charge on top of the entrance fee for the House and Gardens.
We received a warm welcome on arrival from the owner/site attendant, which was a nice start to our stay. The pitches are spacious, with plenty of room between them, and are separated by attractive, well-maintained beech hedging.
A couple of things to be aware of: if you’re venturing out around the site at night, bring a torch as it can be quite dark. The Wi-Fi is also a little patchy and could do with some improvement. There isn’t currently a stocked shop on site, although I’m sure this is something that may be introduced in the near future.
Overall, we had a peaceful and enjoyable stay. We would happily return in the future and would recommend the site to anyone looking for a quiet base for exploring the Peak District.
Negativ Could do with some bins for waste disposal.
WI FI is adequate but needs improvement if having a connection is important to you?

Vom Platzbetreiber: Thankyou for your lovely review. We are working hard behind the scenes to make sure that the shop will be stocked with quality goods. We are in the process of purchasing some bins for around the site. We look forward to seeing you in the future. Sunny Fields
