Positiv Just had a fantastic stay at this site, a working sheep farm in a beautuful setting. Mixture of seasonal caravans, tourers, motorhomes and tents. Small but perfect. We went in our caravan with our daughter and family at the side of us which allowed the grandsons to go between. Loved the little knock on the door in the morning to come in for porridge from our grandsons aged 3 and 5. Eleri and family manage the site really well. We had to change our initial booking by a week due to a family wedding but this was easily sorted with correspondence with Eleri. She gave us some great tips for sights to see before we came so we could research them. The site is spotless with the toilets and showers being checked regularly throughout the day. Every interaction we had with Eleri was warm and friendly. Having watched the recent series of Clarksons Farm it was fascinating to see the easy care sheep they have like on the show, I recognised the shape of the head on the sheep. The site was a great base for bike rides but also to get to various beaches, different towns and National Trust sites during our stay. The views were fantastic with both the sea and the mountains, so very calm. We've come away with some fantastic memories of our 13 nights here that we'll treasure for a long time. Our daughter and family also loved it with the boys being able to play around the caravan and tent. There aren't any play areas on site but we did our own entertainment. Coming away a very happy person. Thank you Eleri and family.

Positiv The area. Cycling around. The views were amazing. Very peaceful on our daily walk by the lake. Cycled up to the Yorkshire Arboretum which was gorgeous. Handy for getting to Malton and other locations. As it was mother's day family visited and it was lovely to see the grandchildren playing in the field. Also to be able to go out to eat in Yedingham after visiting Malton.

Negativ No wifi but was able to use my phone although coverage is poor for some networks. Not really a dislike but need to be aware

We're pleased you managed to visit the Arboretum which, as you say, is gorgeous and of course it looks completely different through the seasons. You are correct that we do not have wifi. Many of our guests appreciate the opportunity to get away from technology but we appreciate that it doesn't suit everyone. We are pleased it didn't affect your trip.

Positiv Beautiful site with amazing views. Lovely walk around the farm and within walking distance along the trail to the village. Great facilities - showers with access to laundry, microwave, freezers if needed. Great location for getting to other areas. Very well maintained and looked after. Staff on hand and very helpful. Definitely will book again.
