Befestigter und kiesbedeckter Wohnwagen-Stellplatz mit Stromanschluss
Positiv Clean, tidy and small
Negativ Site seems more geared towards seasonal caravans, very cliquey with comments made towards us. Also didn't appreciate being woken to rave music at 730 am.
Pitchup states WiFi included but you have to pay extra for it.

Vom Platzbetreiber: Rang the customer to get to the bottom of the issue. WiFi is £2.00 for 48 hours Apparently the tent across the way was playing music if I had been informed I would have done something about it. We do have season customer but I can assure that everyone gets treated the same

Positiv SUN TRAP AND INITIALLY QUIET AND CLEAN.
Negativ ONLY ACCESS TO ONE TOILET AND ONE SHOWER. FEMALE TOILET DOOR DIDNT ACTUALLY LOCK, SO HAD TO USE A BROOM HANDLE TO KEEP IT SECURE WHILST USING THE FACILITIES. FOUND RANDOM DOG MESS AROUND THE SITE. WAS TALKED ABOUT BY THE OWNER (APPARENTLY WE HAD PITCHED WRONG, BUT HAD TOLD ME WHERE OUR PITCHES WERE) NOT REALISING WE WERE SAT IN TENT LISTENING. PEOPLE DRIVING IN AND OUT AT ALL TIMES OF DAY AND NIGHT. ONCE THE SITE WAS FILLED UP ON FRIDAY WHICH WAS QUITE CHAOTIC IT THEN BECAME VERY NOISY, PEOPLE WALKING THROUGH YOUR PITCH NOT AROUND. WONT BE RETURNING.

Grasbewachsener Zelt- oder Zeltanhänger-Stellplatz mit Stromanschluss
Positiv Cleanliness
Negativ Noise, no wardening like last year. People using electric sockets when they're non electric. I paid for mine! Not enough showers.

Vom Platzbetreiber: Sorry you didn't enjoy your stay this as as much as last year. The site is run the same as last year, just different people on site, so different dynamic. The electric sockets in the utility room are not for general use and when you made comments on facebook about people using them, we came up and put stickers on them to let people know they were not for general use, we even came to speak with you about it. We warden the site the same as always with a last check of the toilets and the site between 10:30 - 11:00. We have 3 showers and 5 toilets which is adequate at most times except when everyone want to use them at the same time. We are not a large commercial site and make no attempt to sell ourselves as such. We can not fulfil everyone's expectations but find it a little upsetting that your main concern was the use of electric from a socket in the utility room which was used by other campers when you had paid for an electric hookup. Seems a little petty and spiteful. We hold no grudges so if you did want to return next year we will be happy to accept but you do have to understand that camping is as much about other campers on site as it is the site its self.

Positiv The location and beach, very nice scenery.
Negativ Stayed for four nights. First night we were kept awake til 1am by 'boy racers' using the site as a gathering point and were literally racing. This was mentioned to staff who stated it was not their fault. I have stayed at sites where a gate is locked at the site entrance after 10pm, this would solve the issue of disturbed customers.
There are no rules as to noise on the site, groups were again shouting and playing loud music from their cars until the early hours of the morning. Out of the four nights we only got one decent nights sleep.
The shower blocks are swimming with water on the floor which is a health hazard, staff were not keeping up to them. Maybe the drainage needs looking into or changing the showers to have a basin in the bottom.
The shop didn't provide much other than chocolate and ice cream, bucket and spades. The nearest shop being five miles away. Also no ice pack freezing is available.
On departure I paid my remaining total for the stay, two adults and two dogs. My parents and one dog stayed and were also paying at the same time as me, they were trying to charge an extra £12 more than me!!! This was rectified but clearly they aren't set up with pitch up as well as they should be.
The four of us have talked at great length and will not be returning or recommending this site to anyone especially as they are advertising as being £14.50 when in actual fact they're charging £19.50 for non electric pitch.
NOT WORTH THE MONEY!

Vom Platzbetreiber: Sandyhills Bay is a small caravan and camping park which has 24 hour controlled barriers, and unauthorised vehicle access to the park itself is not possible. We have no ‘boy racers’ staying on the park and we have received no other reports of noise. I would like to reassure you and our other guests that we do have a ‘quiet’ policy after 10pm. We are pleased that the financial discrepancy was resolved at the time, and would just suggest that when booking, customers check to see if the prices quoted for their stay are in the low or high season. Our staff have addressed the other issues you raised and we thank you for your comments.
