Positiv Lovely location and quiet site. Big pitches too. Easy check in and plenty of info at reception shed. Plenty of water points.

Negativ Showers & toilets ok but need some tlc as gaffa tape isn't a repair. Cleaned every day but leaks as water always all over floor and one shower out of order. Our pitch also had muck all over it so we had to sit at front of pitch. Aside from that this is an ok site. Wifi is shocking.

Negativ Shower block and toilets are quite a distance from bottom pitches and only one water point for entire site. Thought for what we paid compared to other camping sites we'vve been to these facilities not that good. Also elson point was filthy and very odd design for waste disposal.

Positiv Toilets and wash ups etc. in good order, friendly and helpful wardens. Great dog walk close by too. Showers good too and great having large cubicles with bench to put stuff on.

Negativ Sloping pitches just doesn't suit our folding camper. Seems some of the long stay campers are none official wardens telling us how we couldn't set up our tent and had opinions on set up!!!!! No reflection on the wardens they were flexible and accomodating. Put us off staying again due to rude fellow campers.

Positiv Nice welcome, flat and well organised pitches. Nice touch with the little bar onsite. Site not too large so easy access to the facilities. For what we paid this was good value.

Negativ Showers and toilets were a little dirty but this was probably down to the weather and rain so hard to keep clean all the time and the owners can't control this. Recycling was a slightly hard to find but again understand this is hard to manage sometimes.

Yes it a shame when the weather turns bad and it difficult to keep everywhere spick and span when campers are in and out of the facilities but hey that's part of the fun of camping is dealing with the weather (just be glad it's not Glastonbury). I don't know how you missed the recycling it the 8 Ton large skip in the car park, (it's marked on your site map) and we pay for it to be emptied and sorted by the waste management company so the camper no longer need to sort their own waste (because many didn't) and this was the solution or face large finds for non-sorted bin waste. Until your next visit we will try to order sunshine, happy camping and safe travels to you both and your two lovely dogs

Positiv Easy access, lovely check in on arrival and the lady behind the bar was super helpful. Nice sized pitches too and flat. The pub itself is nice too, good food and good service.

Negativ Toilets and shower block in need of a serious makeover we don't expect hotel standard but compared to other sites similar to this they are not very nice. Also not cleaned very often. Also the residential mobile home has an Alsation that constantly barks from 7am in the morning till last thing at night that ruins an otherwise lovely quiet site.

Positiv Nice location, nice flat pitch and super quick pitch allocation on arrival. Was also very peaceful and quiet.

Negativ Pot wash areas need a drastic makeover, roof all broken and generally run down and old, takes ages to get hot water. Tolilets also in need of repair both toilets leaked in the gents so there was constantly water on the floor in both cubicles, not much room in showers and nothing to put your stuff on and again water went all over the floor.

Negativ Purely personal bit remote, no phone signal at all, winding country lanes bit tight for us and long time to get there on them. Nothing wrong with site just not our bag but if want remote & get away from it all this site is for you
