The Sinjajevina mountain range is a fabulous place to explore, with large swathes of pastureland as well as soaring limestone peaks. Intrepid hikers can take on peaks like Jablanov Vrh, Babji Zub and Gradiste or follow long-distance routes like Transversal Trail 1 or the Via Dinarica, and there are options for mountain biking and horse riding nearby too. If that’s not enough scenery for you, it’s not all that far to the trails of the Durmitor National Park or rafting and ziplining adventure in the Tara River Canyon – both are about an hour’s drive away. Closer to home, you may like to take a wander around Šavnik (half an hour), at the spot where three rivers meet and close to a couple of waterfalls. You can join canyoning tours from here too.
