Whether you’re searching for a peaceful bolthole, a family-friendly vibe or a small site set among a Gironde woodland, they’ve got you covered at Camping Le Maine Blanc, a laidback spot five minutes’ drive from Saint-Christoly-de-Blaye. The site is open all year round and all the pitches have electric hook-ups; they’re also shaded from the heat of the sun by a canopy of trees alive with the gentle chirping of birds. With only a handful of pitches, it’s also a quiet hideaway where you and the kids can chill and enjoy life at your own speed. Foodwise, between mid-June to the end of September, food trucks roll up to sell burgers on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and pizzas on Thursday evenings. The restaurant-bar, with its informal terrace, is also open from June to October. An outdoor swimming pool (open during high season only) will keep families busy, and you can play ping pong or pétanque while younger guests meet the resident ducks, goats and rabbits or let off steam in the playground. Rest time required? Read a book borrowed from reception, or play a board game with the kids.

Freundlicher, familiengeführter Platz mit herzlichem Empfang. Gelobt wurden die friedliche Atmosphäre, der gepflegte Pool & geräumige, schattige Stellplätze. Essen, Trinken & frisches Brot waren Highlights. Duschen/Toiletten sind einfach, Lärm von der Autobahn hörbar.

Positiv Great small campsite everything you need . Pool is not heated but great as weather has been really hot. Very welcoming family who make sure all is well for you with nothing too much a problem. Small bar with food truck available every night for anyone not wishing to cook. We initially only booked for 2 days but extended or stay. Lovely lakes within cycle or walking distance with man made beach and safe are for children to swim. Also a small cafeteria with a variety of food beside the lake. Will definitely be back and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others to give it a try

Negativ Bathroom and washroom building is antiquated but serves the purpose. Hot showers and lots of hot water for dishes etc. kept clean which is the main issue. Believe they are to be updated at the end of 2025.

Positiv Camping familiale très bien. Bel accueil, les gérants du camping sont très serviables et aimables. Piscine agréable, nous avons eu une soirée karaoké très bien. Le food truck est très bon. Je recommande ce camping !

Positiv We stayed here for one night, just passing through. What a little gem!
The pool was spotless, and despite us arriving at 7pm our children wanted to go in, and it was perfect.
Afterwards we went to the bar and had drinks, food and singing. Such a lovely family run site with a huge sense of community. The family running the site were so lovely and helpful and such pleasant people. On arrival we ordered croissants and baguettes for the morning before we left, and even they were perfect too. Highly recommend.

You arrived between noon and after all the effort I made to help you, here's our reward... 2/10

You ABSOLUTELY wanted a PRIVATE pitch with no one around you!!!!! Well, camping in high season isn't for you.
We are in HIGH SEASON, so we have CHILDREN (and no DISCRIMINATION, I don't refuse children just because the client wants PRIVACY), campervans, caravans, vans... in short, pitches for hosting FAMILY CLIENTS.
I'm sorry, but holidays in July and August are for FAMILY holidays.
If you wanted privacy, I suggest you look for sites that suit you and meet your privacy expectations...
Or, I suggest you go in September!
FYI: the speed limit is 10 km/h in a campsite... a speed you didn't respect... and I didn't tell you anything...
And a campsite is indeed a PAID site.

Vous êtes arrivé entre midi et après tous les efforts que j'ai fourni pour vous aider, voici la notre récompense.... : 2/10

Vous vouliez IMPERATIVEMENT un emplacement INTIME sans personne autour de vous !!!!! Et bien le camping en haute saison n'est pas fait pour vous.
Nous sommes en HAUTE SAISON donc avec des ENFANTS (et pas de DISCRIMINATION, je ne refuse pas les enfants sous prétexte que le client veut de l'INTIMITE), des vans, des caravanes, des fourgons.... bref des emplacements pour recevoir des CLIENTS en FAMILLE.
Je suis désolée, mais les vacances, en Juillet et Aout, c'est en FAMILLE.
Si vous vouliez le l'intimité, je vous invite vous rapprocher de site qui vous correspondent et adaptés à vos attentes niveau intimité...
Ou alors, je vous invite à partir en septembre !
Pour information : la vitesse est de 10Km/h dans un camping....vitesse que vous n'avez pas respecter.... et je ne vous ai rien dit pour autant...
Et un camping est effectivement un site PAYANT.

Positiv We stopped off here for 1 night and it was a great find! The owners were really warm and welcoming and it's a beautiful campsite with nice facilities and a swimming pool. It also has a food truck and bar. Would definitely stay again.

Anyone content to while away their time lakeside can wander through pine forest to Lac du Moulin Blanc (20 minutes’ walk), where there’s a sandy beach for soaking up the sun, fishing piers, swimming areas, hiking trails and a bowling alley. Take a picnic to eat on the shore or head to the restaurant for a chilled wine on the terrace. If you’re looking for more sporting action, Natéa (five minutes’ drive) is a 20-hectare park with treetop rope courses, archery boards and the thrills and spills of laser games. Take younger kids to Asso Califourchon (15 minutes), a children’s farm with curious goats, camels and handsome Highland cows to feed, as well as ponies to ride. If you have teens, introduce them to the joys of wakeboarding at Castor Wake Park (20 minutes). Sneak some history into your holiday with a stroll around the Vauban-designed citadel in Blaye, or wander the historic lanes of gorgeous Bourg-sur-Gironde (both 20 minutes), with a spectacular location on the side of the Dordogne River. Wine buffs may want to tour the Cité du Vin in Bordeaux (an hour), where there’s also an intriguing water installation in the monumental Place de la Bourse.
