Positiv Very quiet, beautifully clean. All super clean facilities. Super friendly owners.

Negativ Arrived with my daughters 3&7 yrs by car. Unfortunately you can't drive onto the pitch and have to carry all your gear from a parking space. Personally I have a few health problems so i found this difficult.
It did rain almost non-stop for 4 days we were there and as the ground was very uneven and mostly on a slope the water ran down off the pitches rather than water log the ground.

Positiv It was clean, looked beautiful, had an amazing little family of ducks that live on site. Pond was lovely and loved the little dog walking trail on site. Loved the view of the stars and that you could have a gazebo and firepit.

Negativ Nothing on site for children to play on/ entertain themselves (mine are older) when cooking or before you head out for the day.
Shop opening hours on the Sunday. Some parts sloped.

Positiv We are new to camping but we enjoyed our stay in the tent with kids. Just come equipped to deal with any midges as you would anywhere.

Negativ Really disappointed in this site. No toilet roll in the toilets at any time and trying to get hold of reception was a nightmare. Upon checking out we told the owner we had a wedding to go to and would they mind if I came back to wash and dry my hair about 2pm. They agreed and said not a problem I could use the plug in the rest room. We come back, shower and only when my hair was soaking wet, they shouted put the window that I could no longer use their plug socket. I reiterated I had a wedding and why didnt she tell me BEFORE I washed my hair. I also asked if I could pay to hook back up to the electric with our campervan for 30 mins but they declined. So now im left driving to a wedding with soaking wet hair. Really bizarre behaviour, why tell us yes to then tell us no... id have just washed it earlier and risked the curls falling out if that's the case

Positiv Good pitch, good facilities and beautiful gardens. Loved the river walk with painted pebbles and stones.

Negativ Road noise but acceptable. Obviously nothing can be done about that. Would pitch farther from entrance.

Positiv Location around site was great.
Sideways pitch was good for a change and we had private area
Facilities clean but basic.
Can't be helped but sadly clouds meant no stars for us but this was a good base for one night
We saw nearby Kirroughtree park which was a highlight.

Positiv Relatively private site. Plenty of space. The little pond is beautiful and the ducklings most endearing!

Negativ Wasps! Bins were very full.
