Tucked away in a peaceful countryside setting, Collie and Shetland View offer a luxurious retreat in two beautifully crafted shepherd huts. Once part of an old apple orchard, this serene half-acre sanctuary now hosts two self-contained, ensuite hideaways, designed for pure relaxation.
Each hut is thoughtfully equipped with everything you need to unwind in comfort. Whether you’re curling up by the wood burner on a chilly evening or waking to the gentle rustle of the countryside, warmth and tranquility are guaranteed,firewood is included to keep things cosy. A small breakfast pack awaits you on your first morning, alongside tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and a selection of complimentary treats to make your stay extra special.
Collie offers everything you need for a cosy and comfortable stay. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave oven, double-ring gas hob, a fridge with a top freezer compartment, kettle, and toaster, perfect for preparing your favorite meals. At one end of the hut, you'll find a hidden alcove with a luxurious king-size bed, complete with a smart TV for relaxing movie nights. Collie also features an ensuite shower with heated towel rail and flushing toilet, with towels provided for the shower and separate towels for the hot tub. Unwind on the comfy sofa for two, enjoying a glass of wine by the warm glow of the log burner.
Shetland View offers a cosy, well-equipped retreat, blending comfort with convenience. Cook with ease using the combi oven, double-ring gas hob, and fridge with top freezer compartment, alongside a kettle and toaster. The ensuite shower and flushing toilet, complete with a heated towel rail, provide modern comforts, while underfloor heating and a log burner ensure warmth and relaxation.The king-size bed is ingeniously hidden within the wall, pulling down over the high-quality oak dining table. It's already made, so you can unwind and enjoy a restful night’s sleep. You can choose to snuggle up at one end for a cosy Netflix night, or turn to the other for a stunning sunrise view over the Somerset Levels.
During the spring and summer months, you're treated to the delightful company of miniature Shetland ponies grazing peacefully in the paddock in front of the shepherd huts, adding a touch of charm to your stay.
Both shepherd huts are thoughtfully prepared to ensure a warm welcome and a relaxing start to your stay. Guests are greeted with a complimentary breakfast pack featuring essentials like tea, coffee, fresh milk, and a selection of treats,perfect for savoring a quiet morning in the countryside. Firewood and fire lighters are thoughtfully included, ensuring you can effortlessly enjoy the warmth of the log burner, the soothing wood-fired hot tub, and the versatile BBQ/firepit. Alternatively, you might prefer to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Somerset Levels. You can hire bikes from Parret Trail Bikes in Langport and cycle along the picturesque Orchard Cider Tor, or bring your own bikes, which we can store for you.
We warmly welcome 1 well-behaved dog for an additional fee, adding a touch of companionship to your getaway. On occasion, we're happy to accommodate up to two small dogs, depending on their size and breed, just get in touch to discuss your needs. You only pay the dog fee once - if you return, your dog gets a free pass for future visits! We provide feed bowls, towels, poop bags and treats.
