Positiv The site looks lovely and modern. Loved there was a club house and was fab watching people on the water sports facilities. We would love to come back with some friends to enjoy the water facilities. Loved nearby Sandwich and Canterbury. Very easy site to access. Liked that it wasnt a large site, liked the small feel of it.

Negativ The shower block looks lovely externally but found during our stay it was not very clean. Lots of toilet roll on floors, lots of general marks from water and grubby hands, toilets not clean. Would have been better to make two showers than three smaller ones. Showers would have been nicer if there was a stool for your clothes, more hooks etc. There was lots of glass on our pitch, seems to be in the top soil perhaps but very embedded. Found our pitch was very long and narrow so felt very close to the pitch next to us - perfect if a tent or caravan however. If windy this site is very exposed.

Positiv Staff were so welcoming and friendly, the space was clean and well looked after. The restaurant on site is fantastic - we ate there 3 times and each time the food was fantastic and the service was excellent.

Negativ Not that I disliked - but i feel could use some improvement: the showers themselves are quite small, theres one hook at the back of the door and unfortunately every time i showered either my towel/new clothes/shoes got wet. As a mum showering with kids is near impossible. The other small thing was the pitches themselves are quite small. We were lucky to have the pitch next door to us empty but if someone had been there I would imagine it to be a bit crowded.

Negativ The toilets and the dish washing area needs more cleaning. From saturday, there’s no toilet paper upto monday. The toilets are very dirty and thre’s nowhere to put toiletries.

Positiv We stayed here at the weekend on a tent pitch. We were surprised how big the pitches are and had ample space for car and tent.
Service point were accessible. We did put a request in upon booking and they were able to give us our request so thank you! Although we didn’t use the restaurant it looked amazing!

Negativ Only criticism was the showers, there are not heated and when I used the shower it was cold and the shower head could be better. Maybe a few extra hanging hooks for clothes and towels and also a mop or squidgy for floor before and after use.

Positiv Lovely accommodation, perfect for the night stay. Bath outside was lovely novelty. All you need to bring is your food, or could go out or use the restaurant when open for some meals.

Negativ Issues with the boiling causing hot water to stop so couldn’t all use the bath. Luckily the kids managed to use.

Positiv Clean, modern facilities. Cafe on site was outstanding with quality food and ingredients. Whilst we visited before the busy summer period began, we could imagine how fun this site would be with the inflatables and wake-boarding being available. The lake is so beautifully blue and well maintained.

Negativ Dislike was the road noise which couldn’t be helped but you wouldn’t notice this during a busy period anyway so don’t let this stop you from visiting!

WiFi on site was also intermittent but deffo not essential and site could do with a small play area for children visiting despite the huge inflatable on the lake.

Positiv Location was convenient for us with plenty to do and see.

Negativ My wife suffers with her hip and needed the disabled toilet and shower. We left the site she was in a lot of pain because the toilets were too low. There was no instructions about where to get the key and the reception was too far away to keep going to there anyway. Couldn't use the showers there was no heating on.

Unfortunately, there is no heating in the shower block at present, and is something that we are looking into adding
