Positiv What a great experience from the second we arrived!

We were warmly greeted by the owner, Andy, who showed us where to pitch up. As we had an electric pitch, he said he’d be over in five minutes to get us sorted, which was a lovely welcome.

We unfortunately ended up with a puncture in our inflatable bed and asked if they had any tape. Andy was more than happy to help us out, which really sums up the whole experience. Andy and the team, who are mostly family-run, were always around if anyone needed anything, but never intrusive.

It was also really easy to spot the staff around the site, as they had a little truck they used to drive around in, constantly keeping on top of things such as emptying the bins and keeping the campsite tidy.

The Pig Out food truck deserves a special mention too — the food was delicious and amazingly priced!

There are portaloos dotted around the campsite, as well as a toilet and shower block. There’s also a large basin for washing pots, and clean drinking water points are conveniently scattered around the site.

One of our favourite things was the animals. You could go and visit them, and if a staff member was around, you could even go in and meet some of them up close. They all seemed incredibly happy, healthy and very well cared for. There are also some lovely walks surrounding the campsite.

The overall atmosphere was calm and relaxed, but there was still a great sense of fun. You could play music beside your tent while being respectful of other campers, have a laugh and generally enjoy yourself. We felt so comfortable that we even ended up joining the family who run the campsite for a laugh and a chat.

For children, there’s loads to keep them entertained, from the animals and park to the bouncy castle, which is put up every afternoon. There really is something for everyone.

We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely come back again. A genuinely lovely campsite with a fantastic, friendly atmosphere and a brilliant family behind it. Highly recommended!

Positiv At first I liked the security of the gates, but this turned on us by the end of the weekend!

Negativ The noise, the fighting, the loud music and young groups of lads shouting and swearing until early hours.
The porta loo was swimming in urine, the ground was uneven, and the beer tent was so loud.
The gate was barricaded by a tree trunk purposefully placed there to stop people getting in or out once we had arrived and pitched up?

Negativ The only tap for water was quite a hike.
This was a very noisy site, there was a pop up bar which was loud until at least midnight.
On the Saturday all the people who were in caravans were arguing very loud and we got quite concerned when one of them drove a tractor in amongst the area where kids were playing at a very fast pace to block the gate! Then the police came, we just at this point retreated to our abode as it was getting very serious and far from a peaceful weekend away that we thought we were getting!
On our second night there was two car loads of young lads (about ten of them) racked up with a tent between them, they were very drunk and holding their own rave party until 2am!

Negativ Cleanliness and quite ragged operation with families left to run wild. This was not fun but obvious mismanagement.

Positiv The family atmosphere was amazing, the amazing staff couldn't do enough for you. The evening atmosphere was like on big family party and the prices of the food was amazing. This site is currently being improved and the new shower block will add to the convenience. But we will defo be back and thank you for a wonderful weekend.

Positiv I would have to say the location was lovely and rural, there were chickens, pigs and little goats to look at and the area was secured by an electronic gate, which is why you need to ring to gain entry. The food van permanently on site was reasonably priced too, there was a bar (which I didn't use) and bouncy castles for young kids, but that is where the positives end I'm afraid.

Negativ Firstly, we missed the turning because you don't see the sign until you're on top of it. Then we were expecting an electric pitch, but didnt realise it was a first come, first served policy, so we had to do without. We asked for somewhere quiet also, which to be fair, it was for the 1st couple of hours before loads of young couples rocked up. The ground was solid, luckily I'd packed the hard ground pegs or we wouldn't have been able to pitch up. Once we were all set, we discovered there was only 1 port-a-loo for our end of the field, which by the end of our visit was being used by about 30 people (adults and chldren). There was no hand basin to wash your hands either, or light inside for during the night, so very basic. There were no wash facilities at all, not even a wash station for pots, etc. The site was very noisy at night, people playing loud music, drinking, shouting on, swearing, so not very child friendly . The restrictions say no noise after 11, but this wasn't the case. I can only say it was a very "relaxed" site with small children running freely all over, some in just their nappies and the occasional smell of drugs. This isn't the usual type of place we would stay, but it served its purpose.

Positiv Just got home from a 2 night stay at Pond Farm and we can 100% say we will be returning, with our extended family next time. Owners, friends and family are so welcoming and always happy to help out where they can. My son loved making new friends at the playground/ bouncy castle area and also meeting the new baby goats 🥰 Food is lovely and very reasonable priced. Shower blocks are being extended which will make this much better for families when they visit. We cannot wait to return! Thank you Andy, Gary & the rest of the family/ friends 🫶🏻

Positiv This was our first time camping we picked this as it was cheap and not too far away from home. We absolutely loved it there is animals and a little park and they also had bouncing castles.The workers were all very friendly honestly this place should be charging more than £20. You can’t go wrong for the price.

Positiv Really good campsite. All the amenities you need. The staff there are polite and really helpful. A very easy going place to stay.
They are constantly improving the site. Which is a good thing.

Negativ Nothing really. Apart from the sensor on the gate. Needs one of those weight pads for easy access.
