Positiv: Quiet, well established, well organized peaceful campsite. Lovely landscaping to hide its size. Excellent showers and toilet facilities. Laid-back vibe. Felt like the best of forest based European camping sites.good location

Negativ: Seasonal caravans felt a bit twee!! Like dachaus. Not for us but a good place to escape.

Positiv: Nice big pitches How quite it was lovely to hear the birds singing in the morning
Close to Hexham with nice shops and places to eat
Foot paths from the site which the dog liked

Negativ: Having no plug for the sinks to have a wash

Positiv: Good size pitches and not too close together. Excellent toilet and shower facilities. Very clean and spacious. Very friendly lady at check in who explained where our pitch and the facilities were.

Positiv: Lovely site. Great location for Hadrian's Wall. Staff were very friendly on arrival. Pitches were a generous size, with plenty of space. Toilets were clean.

Negativ: The only thing that would have helped would be some hooks near the sinks in the washroom.

Positiv: Location convenient for our needs on this occasion as we were attending a family wedding nearby.

Negativ: Pitch nowhere near level. No contact with site owners whatsoever, just an information sheet pinned to the reception wall upon arrival. Despite the prominent notices, children playing football. Percussion taps in the showers.

Vom Platzbetreiber: I notice you were on pitch 7. Pitch 7 is a level pitch however, motorhome users usually carry leveling ramps as not every site has level ground & these may help you. You must have checked in before 2pm or after 5pm as these are the times we pin information sheets to our outside check-in board.
We do walk around the site & speak to customers if they are around however, we try to respect our customers privacy & we don't go knocking on doors. We are always on hand in Reception during office opening hours & on the emergency telephone number which is given at the bottom of the information sheet if our customers need us.
Did you report the children playing football ? ,this could have been reported via our reception or the telephone number given. If you had problems on site you could have reported them & given us a chance to rectify your issues.
We could have changed your pitch or helped you level your Motorhome.

Positiv: Enjoyed our stay here very much
We booked a hard pitch for our campervan & Awning but found it impossible to get the awning pegs in, we spent one night on here, in the morning i rang reception and asked if i could move to a grass pitch the lady was lovely and nothing was a problem, we moved pitch & it was much better.
Showers and toilets spotlessly clean, the whole site was lovely, will definitely be back😄
