Positiv Beautiful site set in a country woodland nice and quiet with local pubs and great views. The staff were very welcoming and explained everything on arrival. Hexham was fabulous well worth the visit and plenty of things to go visit . The hard standing pitch was a good size. The toilet/shower amenities were kept clean and were secure with a code. Wifi was ok but wasn’t bothered due to enjoying the peace and great scenery around the site.

Negativ No water tap near pitch so had to go pretty far to get water and bring back didn’t help having a bad back. Bins to recycle we’re at the exit of the site so that was quite far to go to take the rubbish. The taps in the shower block were a push button and kept going off after you pushed them so was a struggle to shave etc. electric point from caravan was quite far luckily we had a long power lead to reach.

Vom Platzbetreiber: Our touring area is not advertised as serviced pitches and as it is only a small area the water point is central. We have to recycle otherwise our bins do not get emptied, the recycling centre has to be at reception for the purpose of the bin wagons. We advise our customers to drop thier rubbish when leaving the site at anytime. Most sites these days have push buttons in the showers and is controlled by a timer, this means water isn't getting wasted by continuous flow. We are aware that the electric point on the pitch you were allocated is adjacent to pitch 9 and we do have a spare extension cable for that purpose, however that pitch is being reassessed and are waiting for the electrcian to amend it.

Positiv Staff were very friendly and helpful. Extremely clean site with excellent toilet and shower block facilities. The setting is so peaceful, lots of wildlife and birdsong. Lovely walk into Acomb village, with three pubs to choose from. Not far by car to Hexham. We'll definitely be back!

Positiv Excellent toilet and shower block - very clean and spacious. Some nice local walks and plenty of nature to observe. Owners friendly and helpful and take real pride in their site.

Negativ Not a dislike, but this site does have a lot of empty static caravans housed there for the season.

Positiv The staff area really friendly. Our grass pitch was nice & tidy. Loved you could hire a fire pit & the toilet facilities where clean and modern

Negativ The ground was a bit hard for spikes but not at all the sites fault!

Negativ Sinks in the toilets. To get water you have to keep the tab pressed all the time. Difficult to shave oneself.
The shower water flow, same as above. Nuisance.
Messiness of some of the caravans' owners.

Positiv Beautiful forest location, tasteful arrangement of static caravans. Squirrels.

Negativ Showers had very short pressbutton duration, shower head too high up, not enough hooks or place to put soap etc.
No appearance of staff while we were there.
More signage needed out on main road.

Vom Platzbetreiber: Our shower duration is pre- set however we will ask the plumber to have a look at them. The shower head is set to regulations.
We don't bother our customers but we are there if we are needed. Call up to the office or give us a call on the emergency number which is on the information sheet & explained to you when you checked- in.
There is a sign at the bottom of Acomb & one to tell you to turn left at our junction. We are not allowed to just put signs on the main roads. Our website also has the post code & information to get to our site.
