--Dumfriesshire, Devon, Gwynedd--

As the dog ban on beaches lifts for the winter from late September/early October, now is definitely the best time of year for a doggy holiday! Pitchup.com has picked out some of the best dog-friendly breaks for autumn with prices from as little as £10pppn.

Barnsoul Caravan Park – Dumfriesshire, from £10pppn

Dumfries and Galloway, Dumfriesshire: Pitchup.com has availability on its pods at Barnsoul Caravan Park with prices starting from £40 per night based on four people sharing (£10pppn). You can bring a maximum of two dogs at £1 per dog per night.

Situated in 300 acres of wooded parkland with plenty of trails and paths, this is the perfect place to let your dogs run free. Just 14 miles away is Sandyhills dog-friendly beach where your four-legged friend can paddle in the sea to their heart’s content.

The pods feature comfortable foam mattresses – the layout can be changed to accommodate different combinations – basic cooking facilities, and their own fire pit. There is also a toilet and shower block as well as a launderette on site.

The Old Rectory Caravan and Camping Park – Devon, from £10pppn

Tavistock, Devon: Pitchup.com has availability on its pods at The Old Rectory Caravan and Camping Park with prices starting from £40 per night based on four people sharing (£10pppn). You can bring one dog at £2.50 per night.

Nestled in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Old Rectory Caravan and Camping Park operates on a simple country lifestyle. Sample the home-grown free-range eggs, sausages and bacon, meet the animals such as pigs Sid and Clyde, and miniature ponies Tom and Jerry, or spend time with your own pet in the dog-walking area. Whitsand Bay Beach is only 13 miles away offering space for dogs to run and swim.

The pods can accommodate two adults and two small children and include one double socket, an oil heater and a bedside light. The toilet and shower block is newly renovated and equipped with laundry facilities.

Bryn Dinas Camping Pods – Gwynedd, from £20pppn

Beddgelert, Gwynedd: Pitchup.com has availability on its pods at Bryn Dinas Camping Pods with prices starting from £40 per night based on two people sharing (£20pppn). You can bring a maximum of two dogs at £1.50 per dog per night.

Tucked away in the Nant Gwynant Valley at the foot of Mount Snowdon, eco-friendly Bryn Dinas is perfect for you and your pooch. Tire out a hyperactive hound following the Watkin Path to the summit of Snowdon or let them run by the water’s edge on Criccieth beach, less than 11 miles away. For a more relaxing stay, enjoy the library in the community room set in the camp’s four and a half acres of mountainside woodland.

The pods feature two single divan beds, tea and coffee-making facilities and a hair dryer. There is communal access to a kitchenette and two self-contained bathrooms. Wi-Fi is available in the communal area for a small charge where there is also a PC and printer.
