Syntes om This site is in a beautiful location and is blessed with excellent friendly staff/owners, a great shop/reception and a lovely play area for the children. It is well placed for several local attractions, is clean and tidy and is a gem in the making. It is at the moment more tilted towards tents, but there are 8 fully serviced hardstanding pitches that are very well presented. The layout would suggest that the intention is to develop more over time.

Syntes ikke om The elephant in the room here is the facilities. No problem can be found with the cleanliness and it is important that people know that the facilities are very clean. The issue is that for a site which attracts many tenters, who rely on site facilities, there are simply too few toilets and showers to cope with the amount of users. We stayed over a bank holiday weekend, and quickly decided to use our own on board facilities rather than add to the problem. The toilets and showers were overwhelmed by numbers, and it is to the owners credit that they stayed clean. My partner found the electric showers low on water pressure which caused the shower to swing from cold to scalding and then a dribble of water. In fairness, there are notices which address the shortcomings and hint at further improvement, but the time is now. There is also a need for extra water points around the site, as many campers headed for the taps on the serviced pitches, rather than head to the tap outside the toilet/shower cabin. I had no problem with this because who would make it difficult for someone to get water in 30° temps, not me. I hope my comments are seen as constructive because this is a lovely site, but desperately needs more toilets/showers and water points, and if possible a motorhome service point.

Syntes om Warm welcome when we arrived, shown where our pitch was. Excellent farm shop on site. Great play area for children and a large field for ball games.

Syntes ikke om The toilets were spotless but planning permission is being requested to update them and this is needed when the campsite is full. So not really a dislike but the campsite will be 100% with a new toilet block

Toilet blocks are immaculate. Showers looked good too. Although I never used them myself.
The onside shop is great and has a vast stock, great if you forget anything like me (pop bags for the dog).
Fantastic park for the kids.
The hist was super friendly and helpful.

Syntes om Really friendly and helpful staff.
Pitches were in good condition and hook up was easy.
Really well stocked shop, with most things you’d need, as well as local produce on sale.
Tractor came round with free ice creams for the children on site in afternoons!

Syntes ikke om Toilet/shower facilities were a bit cramped, which they recognise and have plans for expansion of the facilities.

Shop had some nice local produce and an ideal location for the Stafford Showground, 30 minutes away

Syntes om Friendly, relaxed campsite with a great atmosphere. The park kept the kids entertained while I set up and packed down, and they made loads of new friends. Brilliant little shop on site, clean facilities, and loads of character from the roaming peacocks and friendly campsite cat. We only stayed one night but already know we’ll be back.

Syntes om The site itself is spacious and spotless. Everything is well maintained and it’s clear to see that the site is kept to a high standard. The toilets/showers are immaculate, there is a lovely farm shop on site and you can order takeaway to the site with ease. There is lots of wildlife around and there is now a park on site as well. We’ve been here twice now and without hesitation would book again!

Syntes ikke om Wish there was a bit more variety in the farm shop. Last time we came there was lots of amazing fresh fruit, but sadly no fruit this time! I really can’t knock this site for anything else.

As summer approaches you will find a wider selection, strawberry season is almost here and we will soon be selling punnets in the shop, fresh from the local farm (we will also be trying out their cherries this year). Syntes om Really nice site. Very well maintained. Found the pitches to be quite spacious also. We were situated at the bottom of the field and so had relatively flat plots for our tent. Toilet and shower facilities were well maintained and clean - big must for me. Facilities were a little on the smaller side, but they are aware of this are making improvements. The onsite shop is great. The fresh pastries and sweet treats were so good. Stocked with a variety of items from cleaning essentials to food products - if you forget something, it’s probably available to buy in there. Not to mention a selection of ice creams and beer for your hot sunny days. My 3 year old nephew absolutely loved visiting the chickens throughout the day and the children’s play park was well built. Not a great deal near by unless you drive out, but if you’re looking for a quiet cosy stay and don't plan on going out much, I would definitely recommend this site. The owners seemed extremely friendly, pointing us to nearby walking routes and engaged in friendly chit chat. Check in was relatively quick and stress free.
