Good value base near new quay with the bonus of the free shuttle bus

Em va agradar Courtesy bus is great and very welcomed. Driver was friendly and knowledgeable and made 2 trips as there were alot of people booked on. Picked us back up at the stated time.
No em va agradar The welcome on arrival. Our booking wasn't recorded even though the site had taken our final balance 2 weeks prior. We had to wait ages for them to sort it out and find us a pitch. There was no apology ...only a 'well pitch up hasn't told us about your booking' ( note here that the actual site debited our card 2 weeks prior for the balance)
We also couldn't take dogs into the clubhouse so would have had to sit outside to eat if we needed to. Thankfully the pub down the road is dog friendly and serves food .
The showers are a little tired and operate on a push button which you had to keep pressing each time the water stopped

Free doggy poop bags if needed. Good quality thick toilet paper.
Great communication and information.
Fab location, only 20 minutes walk along the cycle path ino Caernarfon

Lathkill Wild Campsite

Stunning views, very peaceful rural setting
ag. del 2024 Em va agradar Stunning views, very peaceful. Plenty of space. 25 minutes walk into overhaddon and the lathkill hotel bar which has the most amazing views over the valley. There's a farm on the way there selling free range eggs (£1.50 half dozen). Good signal at all times but did dip at night. Ice cream van visited each field in the evening. Owners come round on a quad in the evening with fire pits to hire and logs to buy
No em va agradar Toilets are basic and built in a wooden structure, with gaps in the doors and floor. Cleaning spray and bleach provided so be prepared to give everything a spray which I did before using
