Honeymoon cancelled after caravan theft
Set. 28 2012 Publicat per Laura Canning
A couple setting out on their honeymoon found their holiday unexpectedly cancelled when their caravan was stolen from outside a pub.
Jo and Mick Curtis, from Scunthorpe, were on their way to Brittany on honeymoon and had collected their Abbey Freestyle 540 from the farm in Barkham where they normally kept it.
They were due to leave on honeymoon the next morning and went to a local pub for a drink the evening before.
Jo Curtis said: ‘I asked the owner if we could leave it outside and she said it was fine.
‘We went to have a drink in the pub and my husband looked out at about 9.45pm and it was still there, but when I checked about half an hour later it was gone.
‘It had been hitched off as our car was still there.’
The caravan is white with a black stripe on each side. Police are asking anyone with information on its whereabouts to come forward.
