Camping De Courte Vallée

Em va agradar We stayed here for 4 nights on our way back up to dieppe after a longer round trip further south. I have to say Jane and James are lovely, very accomodating and we had great fun at quiz night. The pool is a nice size not too big with a few sunbeds round and a nice shade covered side. The pitches are a lovely size and the showers are great, decent hot water and not dribbles like ive had before on some sites. We didn't eat at the bar but food I saw others having looked lovely. We would definitely return. Also jane and james brought my son who's birthday it was when we were there a small birthday gift which was an absolutely lovely thing to do and he felt so special.

No em va agradar The pool surround could do with some anti slip carpeting/fake grass only because my daughter slipped and cut her ankles going round the pool but she was running and accidents happen. The showers could do with being tended more often i did find there would be a collection of water not swept away down drains there was a squegie in there and a bucket with bleach/cleaning water to mop which i did do myself a couple of times.but not all guests would so someone to check frequently might be helpfull.

Del gerent: When you arrived at our campsaite you called me and I came immediately to the gate to give you the code for access, I also explained everything about the campsite. We booked you onto pitches 1 and 2 but you asked if you could look around the site for shady pitches, eventually you settled on pitches 1 and 2 that had been booked for you as it was explained that these were some of the shadiest.
It is mandatory for us to have notices around the campsite in both French and English. Due to the red alert for the heatwave there are some extra notices. These signs point out what you SHOULD do, not what you CANNOT do?
You have marked us 3 out of 10 for facilities and activities but we have the following, 2 shower blocks one with a washing machine and a tumble drier. A games room which has a free pool table and various games and puzzles. A petang court, a swimming pool, a bar and resturant, a terrace, childrens play ground, table tennis, communal barbecue, quiz night every friday, live music monthly, wine tasting, theme nights in the resturant such as moules frites. All of these are listed in our PitchUp listing.
If you required any further information on local activities all you had to do was ask.

Del gerent: Due to the red alert for the heatwave we are not allowed to let our gardeners work in the heat, therefore some of the branches have not been trimmed. However, this gives more shade in these very hot temperatures. Correct, the shower block is cleaned everday. You will have also seen the notices in the shower block asking campers to mop out the cubilces behind them but this is very rarely done these days. We made it clear that you can always find us in the bar at 1800 hours every day and if you needed anything during the day to either come and find us or to call us. I recall seeing you around the campsite on numerous occasions so if you needed anything all you had to do was ask.
Whe you arrived you called me and I came and met you at the gate and gave you the entry code to the gate. You did not call us any other time after that.

On the subject of the WIFI you stayed for 2 nights over a period of a few days, on both occasions you spoke to me in the bar and at no point did you mention that either the WIFI was down or you were having problems logging on to the WIFI. Either issue could have been fixed quickly if you had let us know, but you didnt.

Del gerent: We are very surprised that you say we have bare lawns as you live in Spain. We are in the middle of a heat wave here and it has not rained for 5 months now so the grass is suffering.
The shower block is some 5 years old and is very modern. It has a shower, a toilet and a sink, ample seating and hooks and is completely tiled throughout. It has recently passed an external inspection which will grant us our 3 star classification.
We would love to man the reception and greet all our customers personally however that is not feasible as there are a lot of other tasks to do around the campsite.
Our mobile numbers are by the gate so if you weren't sure about something you could have called us. There are clear instructions about todays arrivals with your name and pitch number clearly marked with a site plan beneath it.

Nos encantaría atender la recepción y recibir personalmente a todos nuestros clientes, pero eso no es posible, ya que hay muchas otras tareas que realizar en el camping.
Nuestros números de móvil están junto a la puerta, por lo que si tenía alguna duda, podía habernos llamado. Hay instrucciones claras sobre las llegadas de hoy, con su nombre y número de parcela claramente indicados en un plano del camping debajo. Nos sorprende mucho que digas que tenemos el césped seco, ya que vives en España. Aquí estamos en plena ola de calor y no ha llovido en cinco meses, por lo que el césped está sufriendo. El bloque de duchas tiene unos 5 años y es muy moderno. Cuenta con una ducha, un inodoro y un lavabo, amplios asientos y ganchos, y está completamente alicatado. Recientemente ha superado una inspección externa que nos otorgará nuestra clasificación de 3 estrellas.

No em va agradar Slecht Internet, de bar gaat pas om 18:00 uur open en vooral niet blij met het sanitair dat 1x per dag werd schoongemaakt om ca. 11:00 uur. De toilet, douche en kleine wastafel zitten in één hokje maar dat stond steeds blank.
Ook kan je er geen brood bestellen en het dorp is niet op loopafstand. Wanneer de eigenaar dit zou regelen zou het een meerwaarde betekenen wat betreft service.

Del gerent: You stayed in the middle of a heat wave and the extreme temperatures knocked our WIFI aerials out. Now it has cooled down a little I have reset them and they are working fine.
We work on the campsite all day and the earliest we can realistically open the bar is 6 oclock. If you were that desperate for a drink there are several bars in town that open all day.
Yes the toilet block is cleaned once a day. The lay out has to conform to handicap standards and that was the best layout we could get with the land area that we had available. You obviously showered after someone who had been in before you.
Unfortunately the local baker does not deliver bread after covid it is just not worth it for him anymore, there are 4 bakers in town where you can get bread. The village is a 10 minute walk away, 8 minutes if you walk quickly.
I would love to move the campsite closer to the village but I am afraid that is not feasible.

Je verbleef midden in een hittegolf en door de extreme temperaturen vielen onze wifi-antennes uit. Nu het wat is afgekoeld, heb ik ze gereset en ze werken weer prima.
We werken de hele dag op de camping en het vroegste dat we de bar realistisch gezien kunnen openen is 6 uur. Als je zo wanhopig op zoek was naar een drankje, zijn er verschillende bars in de stad die de hele dag open zijn.
Ja, het toiletgebouw wordt één keer per dag schoongemaakt. De indeling moet voldoen aan de normen voor gehandicapten en dat was de beste indeling die we konden krijgen met het beschikbare terrein. Je hebt duidelijk gedoucht na iemand die voor jou was geweest.
Helaas bezorgt de plaatselijke bakker na covid geen brood meer, het is voor hem gewoon niet meer de moeite waard. Er zijn vier bakkers in de stad waar je brood kunt kopen. Het dorp ligt op 10 minuten lopen, 8 minuten als je snel loopt.
Ik zou de camping graag dichter bij het dorp verplaatsen, maar ik vrees dat dat niet haalbaar is.
