Camping Le Violu

In between all the outdoorsy days and peaceful sightseeing, go village, town and attraction hopping around the region's highlights, like to the Cathédrale de Lumière at Toul and the arty Museum Georges de La Tour in Vic-sur-Seille. Another popular place to visit nearby is the small town of Ribeauville, 19 kilometres from Camping Le Violu in Alsace's Haut-Rhin department and on the Alsace wine route. It's a medieval town with many an old sight to see: wander its narrow streets to get to its town walls and the Tour des Bouchers, the old wheat storage hall and the seventeenth century Maison des Ménétriers. Also 19km away is the town of Riquewihr, a touristy pull for its old architecture. The town is one of Les Plus beaux Villages de France and has a sixteenth century centre, medieval fortifications and a castle overlooking the whole lot.
