If you’re setting off for Stirlingshire with your eye on finding lots of alfresco activities, you should certainly consider Cobleland Campsite as a base. A couple of miles south of Aberfoyle, this peaceful park is in the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, just on the edge of the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. That setting means miles and miles of walking and cycling trails stretch out through the surrounding area, with fishing and golf close by too – and watersports, treetop trails, cliff jumping and the like for more intrepid guests. And in fact you don't have to travel far to get started on soaking up the spectacular scenery – you can simply stick around on site, where oak trees tower over the pitches and there’s a backdrop of pretty forest views with the River Forth running along one side of the site. Just beyond the river are paths taking you straight out into Loch Ard Forest for a woodland wander or a dog walk if you’ve brought your pet with you. The pitches at Cobleland are well tended and spacious, with access to all the essential amenities including a launderette, a washing-up area and chemical disposal as well as bathrooms with toilets, showers and disabled facilities. Aberfoyle (five minutes’ drive) has a small supermarket for supplies, plus several places to eat and drink.

Em va agradar Excellent site. A great welcome from the chap at reception. The pitches we got were up the back of the main site. They were huge pitches, nice area of the site. The site is immaculately clean, toilets and showers were spotless showers spacious and hot! Washing up facilities for campers were great!Great walks all around to take the dogs and a lovely little coffee bar stop with delicious fresh coffee. Central location for the Trossachs. Will definitely be going back! Thanks for a warm welcome and great stay!

Em va agradar Nice, quiet + peaceful despite being busy. Liked the coffee trailer and visiting pizza van. Toilets/showers always clean + tidy.

Em va agradar Large, well spaced out site on several levels. Bottom pitches overlook the river. Top pitches are tree lined.

Despite there being a major cycling event on we weren’t disturbed at all by any noise or inconvenience. Owner checked on us personally to make sure all was okay.

Facilities were very good, plentiful and clean. Loved that you didn’t have to keep pushing the shower button to keep it on!

This is a site we’ll definitely return to.
