Welcome to Ryn Gwari Farm. We are a family run 6 acre small-holding with camping available during the summer holidays. Ryn Gwari is situated along a quiet lane, 1 mile from the nearest small town of St Just. Our camping field is a 2 acre field, with panoramic sea views towards the Isles of Scilly. The 10 family-sized pitches are spread across the 2 acre field, with loads of room between pitches. On the small-holding we have sheep, ponies and a very friendly farm cat. We are popular with people who love the rustic, simple nature of our farm and being away from the crowd. We are a quiet campsite, orientated towards families or adults that are looking for a relaxing time. We are pleased to offer a relaxed way of life up here, but we do love a gathering round the campfire and there is wood available for you to share a fire with other campers each night. We also offer the whole farm or camping field for hire for events such as weddings and large gatherings, please contact us if you would like further information on this. We can also offer exclusive use of the site for large groups of campers or camp groups including school groups.

Thank you for looking at Ryn Gwari Farm for your holiday! We hope you will have a great time here in West Penwith, the land at the end of the country, the end of the line, the mystical, magical land of Kernow.
We are here to help your Tipi stay be as enjoyable as possible. We will meet you after arrival to show you the ropes (actual ropes!). See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PpODFddL7Y
Your Tipi is beautiful space to be in, however it comes with a little work to make it so. Poles and smoke flaps and ropes need to be moved and tweaked to ensure a fire can be lit inside. The canvas is watertight but drips can occur through the chimney and in heavy weather the sound inside from rain and wind can be loud! Once a fire is lit in the evening, you won’t want to go anywhere, the flickering flame and the warmth is so relaxing. You can also use the fire to cook on, there is a grill to rest pans on and paving slabs under the fire bowl for hot dishes. We equip the tipi with fire safety items.
Our loos and showers are rustic and simple, they are located at the top of the field, a short walk from you but this ensures you have a quiet corner of field for your tipi. On site is water & washing up. sink, fire area with scrap wood.
On the farm we have pets! See Piggy the dog (above) plus sheep & ponies. You are welcome to stroke them, they love it!
Nearby is the town of St Just with shops, pubs and cafes. Sennen, Cape Cornwall, Pendeen beaches are all 5-10mins away and the moorland behind the farm is accessible on foot. Access to the coastal path is easy too, just ask for directions!
There is always someone around each day to ask questions, help with things.

Llocs d'interès

The area is the wild far-west end of Cornwall. Expect epic sunsets and big skies. We are close to the fantastic surfing beach of Sennen (6 miles) and Gwenvor and easy access to the south-coast beaches of Perranuthnoe and Praa Sands. Nearer to the farm and within walking distance (1.5 miles) is the cove of Cape Cornwall. We also love the moorland behind the farm, it’s possible to walk for miles without seeing a soul, even in August! From the camping field you can walk up to the moors without touching the road. Up here you will find a beautiful natural environment with a rocky carn, a stone circle and a pool that you can swim in. This moor links up to others that stretch all the way along the North Coast to St Ives. Less than a mile from the farm in the other direction, you reach the South West Coast Path. Here you can turn left or right and walk for miles. We can help you to plan circular walks from the farm, or for larger groups, we may be able to organise guided day walks. In St Just there are various cafes, pubs and takeaways, coop and local shops. There is also a pub about half a mile from the farm in the village of Truthwall.
