If your heart is set on some lounging around the Lizard (the peninsula at Cornwall’s most southerly point), hightail it down to Silver Sands Holiday Park, where you can expect a warm-blooded welcome and natural attractions on an epic scale. Whether you plan on simply basking in the sun, or scampering about and getting your claws into Cornwall, this site is an excellent base. It’s just a half-mile skip down a pretty wooded path through the Lizard Nature Reserve to spectacular Kennack Sands, a fab family beach which allows dogs at its eastern end, and the area surrounding the park is full of hidden smugglers’ coves, scenic coastal villages and glorious beaches. Silver Sands is a small and peaceful site with a relaxed family feel; canine visitors are welcome, provided they're properly supervised.

Em va agradar The site is well kept and landscaped and the showers & toilets were clean. There is an information shed with loads of leaflets etc. and where people leave toys at the end of their holiday, for children who have turned up, which is a really nice touch. Also, there is a good recycling facility. If you don't mind the walk, there is a bus route around 15 mins away, which offers a great service to larger towns and the beautiful Lizard Point.

No em va agradar The pitch we were on, was, at first sight, spacious and situated around a sort of semi circle. However, the people on either side of us spread out with various cars and vans, which left us feeling a bit hemmed in. The walk to the nearest bus stop is via a loose stoned, tiny track and over a field, which would be impassable for pushchairs or wheel chairs. The path to the beach is also tricky to navigate on foot, and unfortunately, when we got to the small beach, there were dogs on it and a used, dirty nappy which put us off going again.

Del gerent: Hi Stephen, Thanks for taking the time to leave your comments, I do wish you had shared your feelings with us whilst you were here as we would have been more than happy to address the feeling of being hemmed in. Our pitches are generally 10x10 meters, including your neighbours, so I am sure things could have been jigged if needed to suit everyone.

The path to the village and the beach are not suitable for wheelchair users, but to describe the path as tiny is not the most fitting description. A lot of work has gone into the path from the park to the village to ensure its safe and useable all year round, hence the stone track which is useful for the wetter months. The path to the beach is set through a woodland, a conservation area and an area of outstanding natural beauty. It's a pretty magical place to hear the birds and see a variety of flaura and fauna before arriving at the beach.

Kennack Sands main beach and east beach are a beautiful setting and it's shame that some beach users don't obey the rules. I know the cafes litter pick each day as well as the local community doing regular beach cleans as well. Sadly, these type of incidents happen because of the people, not the location.

Em va agradar Lovely pitch for our tent. Facilities were great with hot water & close walk tomorrow the beach. Lovely play area for the kids to meet new friends and play ball games.

Em va agradar The overall site was quiet and close to the beautiful coast.

No em va agradar The pitch offered was right on the corner and opposite toilets which was not pleasant. No options given to chose pitch at booking stage and no option to ask for a differing pitch as office closed. so just had to suck it up and get on with the pitch we had. Wash block is governed to Male-3 Showers, 3 Toilets and 3 Basins. Female-3 Showers, 3 Toilets and 3 Basins so be prepared for queuing.......in the morning and at the end of day.

Em va agradar Awesome site with great facilities. It's very quiet which is perfect for a relaxing stay.

No em va agradar Phone signal was poor (no fault to silver sands) and the WiFi was unreliable.

Em va agradar Everything about the site is lovely. Very peaceful largely due to the time of year well maintained with excellent amenities on site. Easy access on foot to the coast path and beach.

No em va agradar If I had to nitpick the price for the washer was a little high at £6 otherwise I can’t fault it

Aside from the beach within walking distance at Kennack Sands, Silver Sands Holiday Park is also close to one of the most stunning beach locations in Cornwall: Kynance Cove, whose turquoise waters could have been lifted from a postcard from the Med. Water babies can make the most of the milder sea temperatures (thanks to the Gulf Stream) and try diving, surfing or windsurfing at any one of the tuition centres along the local coast. Porthkerris beach has a family-run dive centre that is particularly renowned for its shore dives, and boat dives to local wrecks or to swim with basking sharks; it also has a comprehensive range of PADI scuba instruction. Walking enthusiasts can fill their boots with rambles along the stunning coastline to the Lizard point and beyond, or head inland, where a favourite expedition is along the banks of the Helford river, followed by a short hop on the ferry to the eponymous Ferry Boat Inn, for some well-earned refreshment overlooking the water. There’s all kind of fishy business nearby for those angling for a bit of action: freshwater fishing at Garras, beach fishing or sea-fishing trips from one of the local ports. Check out the iconic St Michael’s Mount or one of the other National Trust properties in the vicinity; garden groupies are spoilt for choice too, with many glorious green spots in the area including Glendurgan, Trevarno and Trebah Gardens, particularly spectacular in the earlier part of the year, when wild bluebells and primroses spring into bloom and there are amazing displays of camellias and azaleas. The area around Silver Sands is stuffed with fab family attractions for all ages too, from the doe-eyed beauties at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary in Gweek to the swashbuckling fun of Falmouth’s National Maritime Museum or the exotic animals of Paradise Park.

Admissió

Els menors de 18 anys han d'estar acompanyats pels pares o tutors legals.
Només podreu entrar al càmping després de registrar-vos a recepció.

Arribades i sortides

Les arribades tardanes s'han de notificar al càmping al més aviat possible. La vostra reserva queda garantida durant 24 hores. Un cop passat aquest temps, la direcció es reserva el dret de rellogar la vostra unitat.
No s'ofereixen reembossaments/descomptes per les inclemències metereològiques, les arribades tardanes ni les sortides anticipades.

General

En cas que tingueu alguna queixa, parleu amb recepció de seguida. Aquelles queixes que no hagueu presentat a l'administració durant la vostra estada no es podran resoldre un cop hagueu marxat del càmping.
Està prohibit portar Using bicycles onsite.
La direcció es reserva el dret de refusar l'accés o posar fi a l'estada d'aquells hostes que presentin un comportament inapropiat. En tal cas, no s'oferirà cap reembossament.
Les ràdios, els reproductors de música i els televisors s'han de mantenir a baix volum. Les portes i els maleters dels vehicles s'han de tancar amb cura.
Les reserves són personals i intransferibles.
S'ha de respectar el silenci absolut entre les 21:30 i les 9:00.

Modificacions de la reserva
