Getting out on the South West Coast Path could barely be easier than it is from Bay View Camping – this Cornwall site is right by the shoreline between Falmouth and Maenporth, and it has its own private access gate to the coast path and a path leading to a private beach. That means you can get out for short or long seaside strolls whenever you like. The South West Coast Path can be used to reach local beaches like Maenporth and Swanpool, at about 15 minutes and 20 minutes’ walk respectively. There are places to eat at both spots, so you could leave the car behind for several days here and simply get about on foot easily enough. Alternatively, set out along the private path to Newporth Beach below a lovely clifftop picnic meadow. When the tide is low, it's possible to stroll right out onto the neighbouring Sunny Corner Beach, a clothing-optional stretch of sand. And there’s no need to leave the coast behind once you’re done with outings for the day, because this field is close enough to the shore to have gorgeous sea views from the pitches. They look out to the east, so it’s worth being up for sunrise, but they’re still splendid of an evening. Off-grid, the site has flushing toilets and hot showers. It’s all very laidback in vibe, so kids and dogs are welcome and there aren’t any real restrictions on arrival and departure times.

Aquest càmping ofereix vistes espectaculars i ininterrompudes al mar i accés directe al camí costaner. Les platges són a poca distància. Les parcel·les són espaioses i l'amfitriona, Alice, és molt elogiada. Les instal·lacions són bàsiques però netes i ben mantingudes, tot i que les dutxes són petites. Em va agradar We stayed here last weekend and had the most wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we received a genuinely lovely welcome from Alice, our host. She even thoughtfully offered us deck chairs to use, which was such a kind and unexpected touch!

The campsite itself is stunning, boasting incredible sea views. The facilities were exceptionally clean, and we never once had to queue for the showers or toilets.

One of the highlights was the coastal path walk into Falmouth—it is breathtakingly scenic, incredibly relaxing, and so easy to access from the site.

To top it all off, Alice went above and beyond when we ran into some car trouble before leaving, kindly granting us a later check-out so we wouldn't feel stressed.

No em va agradar Small toilet cubicles with gaps in doors and a little smelly. Warm water in showers but not a lot of pressure when others using.

We have been for a few summers in a row on multiple trips and loved every single stay for different reasons.
We’ve seen dolphins, sunrises, boat races, calm seas, choppy seas, wake boarding, rain, heatwaves and so much more all just sitting in our tent.

Great value for money for location.
Could not recommend this campsite more, perfect for families or date night with friends or partners!!

Alice always keep the toilets well stocked and keeping everything clean and looked after.

We forgot our tent pegs on one visit and Alice was immediately there with spares and a giggle for forgetting one of the most important parts of the tent structure!

We absolutely love this site and can’t wait to return in a few weeks for the 3rd time this summer as we just can’t get enough.

Slightly stronger shower curtains as I felt I was spraying water out the bottom but that’s really not a big issue or problem.

The coast is the big draw around here, of course – and no doubt you’ll start with outings to Maenporth and Swanpool beach, which are both within 20 minutes’ walk. You could continue from either of these for a splendid day’s walking along the South West Coast Path – perhaps as far as Durgan (an hour and a half’s walk), where you can turn inland to explore Glendurgan Garden or Trebah Garden. Alternatively you can drive to either within 15 minutes. Spotted any seals as you walk? It’s perhaps unlikely, so you may need to pay a visit to the Cornish Seal Sanctuary (25 minutes’ drive). To meet equally cute four-legged rescue animals, aim for the Flicka Foundation donkey sanctuary (10 minutes). Some time in Falmouth (five minutes’ drive/40 minutes’ walk) is also a fine idea, to peruse Pendennis Castle, visit the art galleries and take a boat to St Mawes, a lovely little fishing village across the estuary with a beach, castle and a network of winding streets to wander through.
