We are however a bit disappointed that you have marked us down on something that isn't really in our control. Every time a customer does this, our review score goes down and it takes an awful lot of 10/10 reviews to get it back up again. We can't control the weather, aeroplanes flying over or grumpy people. Having said that, if our customers are experiencing abuse from other customers, please come and find one of us straight away. We don't like that.

We do understand that you are angry and agree some customers should go to an adults only site. I do myself spend hours going through every booking trying to put our customers on the correct pitch for their needs and separating the children from the adults is one of the first things I take into consideration. Obviously children are not going to stay on their pitch and unfortunately, there are always going to be grumpy people in this world, especially when the weather is this hot.

We hope that this doesn't put you off from coming back, we would love to see you again. The Oak View Team 😊

Em va agradar Had a really lovely stay at this site, big shout out to Ruth who was so welcoming and accommodating. Really nice facilities, wet room style showers, hot water for washing up, all really well designed. Site got very full due to bank holiday so ensured we showered early or late. Loads of mature trees scattered around site and a forest walks straight from site. Some noise from main road but soon got used to it.

Em va agradar Pitches were well looked after. Our pitch was a good size for our largish tent and car. The site was on the whole quiet though its proximity to the M20 and A249 could sometimes be intrusive. For us the availability of good walking routes on the campsite’s doorstep was a bonus.

The village of Detling is close by and can be reached by a pleasant 15/20 minute walk. The Cock Horse pub is agreeable and the local community store is well-provisioned.

The campsite staff were very welcoming and helpful. The shower block was well kept. When we stayed the site was fairly quiet so toilet/shower access was never an issue. I guess it might be if the site were very busy. But then which site isn’t challenged when busy?

Overall we had a lovely stay at the campsite; and shall certainly stay again.

The forrest area at the bottom of the park doesn't actually belong to us but there is a public footpath that our customers can use that runs all the way through it. Unfortunately as it isn't ours, we can't make it any bigger. We do have a print-out listing other local walks and if our customers come and ask we will happily provide one.

No em va agradar Men’s washrooms were in a state when I went to use them at 7pm …blocked showers with toilet roll, mud over shower floors and unclean toilets, I had to spend 10 mins cleaning before I could use the cubicle. There was a lot young kids running in and out, banging on the doors and causing mess.
Obviously hard to keep on top of this but maybe more frequent inspections

I was shocked as you when I came in at 8am on that morning to see the mess myself, the ladies was the same. I spent 1 1/2 hours cleaning and unblocking the sinks straight away before doing anything else. The toilets had been checked late the evening before and were ok. We identified the 3 pitches of tents with the children responsible and be rest assured, they will not be coming back again. They even had to be told not to jump up and down on the bins.

We don't tolerate this kind of behaviour and simply block any future bookings. We would like to apologise to all our customers who came upon this that morning. Unfortunately, there are many in this world who have no concern for other people.

The site has flat ground so nice to sleep.
Electric pitch everywhere if you want.
I love the trees around so it was shady

No em va agradar it is near some showfield but only noisy for 1 day and we were out.
Our WiFi connection is not great as we took the furtherest pitch.
