Craving watersports, treetop obstacle courses and cycle-easy forest paths? With Cranborne Chase on one side and New Forest on the other, Leat Farm is all about a relaxing retreat in the outdoors. That’s certainly what you get, as the dog-friendly farm site is part of a working smallholding and timber yard on the river Allen with a clear chalk stream, plenty of plant life and a working Stenner sawmill over 100 years old. You'll blend properly into farm life here, thanks to the site’s two horses (Bobbie and Cobby), four goats and a small band of turkeys nearby. At the same time, won't be too far away from the buzz, whether that's the beach or city – within driving distance, there’s Salisbury (half an hour’s drive), Southampton (50 minutes), Bournemouth (half an hour) Christchurch (25 minutes) and Poole (45 minutes). As for the local town, well, from Fordingbridge (five minutes), there’s a fair few adventures to be had and that’s not counting a trip down taste lane (restaurants, shops and pubs are in plentiful supply). There are riding stables, a park, woodland archery and a little further out, the New Forest Water Park (10 minutes) for a good go at wakeboarding, paddleboarding and other watersports. When you’re looking for something a little closer by, the site is behind Alderholt Mill, a working watermill with tearooms (a breakfast spot, maybe?). To the north of the site, there’s also a trout fishery five minutes' drive away.

Càmping bàsic i natural amb camps amplis i riuet. Els visitants valoren els propietaris amables, els animals de granja i les fogueres. Em va agradar Nothing about being there but liked when I left.

No em va agradar The noise from the large camping groups and from the nearby fields was so bad could not get any sleep at night and days were disrupted and not able to rest and enjoy your stay the camp owner lied about sorting these matters and did nothing. The whole experience was not good and made people ill. The campsite was not as described and is dangerous and when you ask for your money back as you want to leave are ignored.

Em va agradar We had a lovely time staying here at leat farm campsite over the bank holiday weekend. It’s a lovely (basic) campsite with a few farm animals on site which we loved! There’s 2 fields to choose from, one with a stream running behind it, we chose to pitch up here. So relaxing falling asleep to the sound of the stream, also so many birds and animals to look out for so great for bird watchers! It wasn’t hugely busy during our stay which was nice, but quite a few families which made for a great atmosphere. Toilets are basic but working, could do with a little clean. We didn’t shower here but 2 showers on site. There’s a village store a few minute drive away (15/20 min walk), an co op 7 mins away and fordingbridge town with loads of shops and restaurants nearby too. Overall we had a great time and will definitely be back on our next adventure, Dona is lovely!

Em va agradar Wonderful location, good shower & loos, lovely owner. The site never feels overcrowded, listening to wildlife and the stream is so therapeutic. This is now our first choice for family camping weekends.
