Nice area…
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Nice area
Disliked Unfortunately, a very disappointing experience. We came as a family and had to leave early after the owner became extremely rude and aggressive over music that was playing at a low volume. There was no clear rule stating that music wasn’t allowed.
During the confrontation, she hit my brother on the head with the tent while banging on it. When he asked her to apologise, as he initially thought it was accidental, she refused and began swearing and becoming more aggressive. We understood there were other stresses she was having but it shouldn’t of been taken out on us paying customers
The situation became so uncomfortable that we had to pack up two children and all our belongings at around 9pm and leave.
We had also witnessed the owner discussing other campers and their personal details with others, which made us uncomfortable.
It’s a real shame as we came here to enjoy a family break, but the way we were treated completely ruined our stay. We would not return or recommend this campsite based on our experience.
There was very loud music coming from the field next to us which she said had never happened before it was going on until 3-4 in the morning. When looking at previous reviews that had been happening. We felt it was taken out on us since complaints were being made about this. Out music was appropriate and quite we were having a little dance party with the little boy and if asked to turn of we would of but it was 8 acklock and the music was very reasonable there is nowhere on the website stating no music very disappointing

We had a lovely time staying…
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked We had a lovely time staying here at leat farm campsite over the bank holiday weekend. It’s a lovely (basic) campsite with a few farm animals on site which we loved! There’s 2 fields to choose from, one with a stream running behind it, we chose to pitch up here. So relaxing falling asleep to the sound of the stream, also so many birds and animals to look out for so great for bird watchers! It wasn’t hugely busy during our stay which was nice, but quite a few families which made for a great atmosphere. Toilets are basic but working, could do with a little clean. We didn’t shower here but 2 showers on site. There’s a village store a few minute drive away (15/20 min walk), an co op 7 mins away and fordingbridge town with loads of shops and restaurants nearby too. Overall we had a great time and will definitely be back on our next adventure, Dona is lovely!

Liked Wonderful location, good shower & loos, lovely owner. The site never feels overcrowded, listening to wildlife and the stream is so therapeutic. This is now our first choice for family camping weekends.
Disliked One shower is temperamental.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Great for exploring the western edge of the New Forest!
Our son loved the paddling stream just round the corner by the mill
Great to be able to hike into Fordingbridge too
Facilities were clean and functional and the option to hire a fire pit was great - one of the most peaceful and laid-back camp sites I've ever stayed at.
Already looking for free weekends to come back with family.
