Off to the Yorkshire Dales to delve down into caves or to venture up into the Yorkshire Three Peaks? Whether it’s caverns, waterfall trails or the mountains that have drawn you to this area, Falls Park makes a quiet and spacious dog-friendly base in a handy spot a mile from Ingleton and 10 minutes’ drive away from White Scar Cave and 20 minutes from Kirkby Lonsdale (a historic market town with the medieval Devil’s Bridge). From here you’ll be off to see waterfalls in no time, as the site has access to the nearly five-mile Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, a long-established and popular trail that's all about the sublime scenery. Please note that access to the Waterfalls Trail is an additional cost for customers. On top of that, the site itself has views of a limestone valley and Ingleborough, one of the Yorkshire Three Peaks and a prime spot for a challenging hike between the summits. Peaceful’s the vibe here, as that’s how the site has been planned and designed, so you’ll be all ready to unwind with the scenic Yorkshire Dales landscape surrounding you. Facilities include a chemical toilet disposal point, drinking water points, washing-up room, wifi and an amenities block with a male, female and disabled toilet and shower. With Ingleton village within walking distance (an hour and 10 minutes’ walk away or 10 minutes’ drive), powering up before your next outing is easily done, thanks to its food shops, restaurants, tearooms and pubs. Please note there is a steep single-track road to access the site, which is very narrow. Whilst there are occasional passing places on the lane, this site is only suitable for campervans and motorhomes.

Em va agradar We really enjoyed our stay at the campsite. The location was beautiful and peaceful, the facilities were clean and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We especially liked the relaxed atmosphere and the surrounding area. We would definitely stay here again.

Em va agradar An absolute gem of a site. Fantastic views, and right in the middle of some great dales walks. Dark skies for star gazing before falling asleep to the sound of nearby waterfalls followed by waking up to see deer skipping through the site and over fences. Facilities very modern, plentiful and immaculately clean.

No em va agradar Only the weather, but even that couldn't detract from a great weekend.

Em va agradar I received a text message to let me know where to park. I arrived a bit late after reception had closed, but the manager had seen me arrive and popped down with the key fob for the amenities block. The facilities were great (spotless!), and the whole site was very well kept. It was very quiet and peaceful at night.

No em va agradar Nothing they could change. I could have done with fewer steps down to the showers after completing the Yorkshire three peaks!
Also, the single track road was busy with oncoming traffic when I was heading back down to Ingleton on my way home. It's very tight when two vans meet.

Em va agradar Fantastic location, great views . Very good shower/ toilet facilities. WiFi was very good.

No em va agradar Pitch (hardstanding with grass) appeared to be grass only. View slightly undermined by the nearby working quarry.

Em va agradar It was great to have a text with clear instructions of where to park on my arrival.
The lovely welcome I received from reception/ owners was really appreciated. Too many campsite owners seem to think they are doing you a favour letting you camp on their site, not so at Falls park, they couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.
Great facilities, very clean and tidy site.

No em va agradar Just one point, the campervan park is set away from the main park which means the showers/toilets are quite a hike. That's ok but there are closer toilets which are locked at night. Would be good if they could be accessed with the key fob for those nighttime visits

Em va agradar I liked the location it was quiet and the views were spectacular. My wife had a great greeting when we booked in.
The shower and toilet facilities were spotless. The waterfalls we the best we have seen.

No em va agradar The pitch could have been leveller. Even with the chocks we couldn’t get it level and kept rolling to one side of the bed. However this is a countryside site on a hillside so it’s difficult to achieve on all pitches

Em va agradar Location was fantastic with great views and right on the Ingleton waterfall walk. Whole place was spotless with immaculate toilet block, and additional toilets during the day. Van pitches well spaced out. Great little cafe during the day. WiFi included.

No em va agradar Strict rules about music/fairy lights/fires (none allowed) - some were understandable given the location but others seemed excessive.
Access to showers/toilets was by key fob and only 1 given per pitch - meant careful planning which is not always possible!
Toilets/showers were quite a distance from the van pitches and it was very dark (and steep) at night so a torch is definitely needed. Also light sensor in showers was far too short and would go out before you’d finished unless someone else walked in.

So where should you set your compass to first? There are impressive scenes all around, from guided tours around the longest show cave in Britain, White Scar Cave (10 minutes’ drive) to the mighty 104-foot-high Ribblehead Viaduct (15 minutes) with its 24 arches towering over the moorlands. The threads of nature run strong here too and that’s evident from Gisburn Forest (40 minutes), where walking, cycling and mountain biking trails are just some of the ways to snake through the treetops and spy on skulking wildlife. There’s a nature trail over at Ingleborough Cave (20 minutes) too – but of course cave walks are where the action’s really at. Up towards the sky instead, the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge (half an hour) might already be the quest you have in mind, but if not, perhaps you’ll want to give the 24-mile route over Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-ghent a go while you’re here. For an easier day out, take a hike around Malham Cove (40 minutes) or stroll around Skipton (45 minutes), a market town with lots of places to eat, as well as a traditional town hall, castle, museum and gallery.
