What’s it to be for your Norfolk break – beach days, country walks, boating around the Broads, active adventures, city strolls, sipping cider in the pub? Mix and match as you please when you stay at Loddon Oasis Camping, a simple and friendly site in the little town of Loddon. This attractive little riverside town is a fabulously convenient one for all sorts of days out, so you should never want for things to do while you're staying here. And the site’s setting is very handy too, within just a few minutes' walk of the town’s shops, cafés, pubs, bus stops and other amenities. Dogs are welcome on site, and there’s plenty of space nearby for them (and you) to stretch legs on a riverside walk. If you're not feeling quite so active, settle on the riverbank for a bit of fishing. This small and simple site prides itself on being a friendly place with a great community spirit. Families, couples and solo adventurers are all equally welcome, and will be encouraged to rest and unwind in this lovely chilled-out location. Barbecues are permitted for those who fancy a bit of outdoor cookery, although it should be noted that there’s a fish and chip shop just over the road… As a fuss-free site, the facilities have been kept on the simple side, but you'll have access to essentials like toilets, showers and picnic tables.

Em va agradar Location fine and central, close to a selection of shops, fine actual pitch and toilets basic and what you expect

No em va agradar Absolutely NOT a family campsite. Lots of permanent residents smoking cannabis, screaming, swearing and fighting until 2am . Other campers arriving well past midnight. No security or staff around site so it didnt feel safe. It was clearly some kind of temporary traveller site and Absolutely not as advertised. Avoid! People charging theor devices by leaving their cars running all night. Had a really unfriendly feel. Left a night early

Em va agradar Location was good.

No em va agradar People coming on and off all the time at silly o'clock 2.30 in morning going down to boat yard.toilets was horrible and shower finding electric point also hard as most was taken up by vans on other field.i could not get my head around the set up.we was not given any information on anything very poor I don't think I'll be booking anything on pitch up this campsite was also overpriced.

Em va agradar Good location, close to shops, takeaways & pubs. Regular bus service into Great Yarmouth and Norwich & Lovely walks.

No em va agradar Only 1 communal shower and 2 toilets for the whole site. Could really use do with a bit of TLC. Didn’t see anyone from the site the whole time we were there.

No em va agradar Name of campsite did not match name on entry to site so at first we thought we were in the wrong place so had to phone to check as no-one at reception. Very uneven ground so not easy to level up a camper van. Locks on toilets which are unisex not adequate and did not try shower as not enough separation from men going into the toilets.

Em va agradar Location was good, excellent bus service to Norwich Beccles and Lowestoft. Friendly welcome, lots of food places takeaways etc

No em va agradar We did not have major expectations after reading the reviews, but we wanted somewhere close to Norwich on a bus route. On arrival the site looked very shabby, very rough ground, lots of ?mole hills. Pitches very small, no allocation, told to go where we liked. We had paid £10 extra per night for an awning but absolutely no space to put it up, this was rectified very quickly after we spoke to the young lady who met us on arrival, she arranged a refund.

We were also greeted by 2 other couples who said it was awful and they were not staying, they told us they thought there was a drug problem but to be honest we did smell something but the site was very quiet at night and we did not experience any issues. Only 1 shower, which we were told did not drain, 2 unisex toilets, locks did not work, lighting sensor went out quickly, hand dryer not connected, no hot water at wash up. We were told that a new toilet block was being built but no evidence. There are 3 areas which looks like they may be installing hard standings, but not sure. I’m not sure if there are new owners trying to improve it but at the moment it just looks shabby and rundown. Very expensive for what is offered.

No em va agradar Ground is extremely uneven, I use a walking stick and it was very difficult.
The flat areas are for permanent stayers. Fenced off.They took all 4 electric socket on the camping side, So you could not park near fence. This was in two areas. We had to park in a field a person on side advised where to park. The number sites are small. No place for a porch awning.
Only 1 shower
Only 2 toilets with 2 toilet rolls for 30 camping units.
No site allocation.
A very large motorhome smoking cannabis.

One of the major draws in Norfolk is The Broads National Park – and you'll easily be able to explore the waterways from here, perhaps hiring a boat from Loddon Marina or canoes from Beccles (15 minutes' drive). Walks and bike rides are equally rewarding in these landscapes, and there are loads of woodland activities and adventures to throw into the mix at BeWILDerwood Norfolk (half an hour). The coast is just as enticing of course; top spots nearby include Great Yarmouth (25 minutes) for an action-packed day at the beach and amusements, or Winterton-on-Sea (40 minutes) for a quieter wander through the dunes. Heading inland instead, Norwich (25 minutes) has a castle and cathedral, plus lots of indie shops and places to eat. Keeping the kids busy should be a cinch around here, what with the likes of Africa Alive (25 minutes), Pleasurewood Hills Family Theme Park (half an hour) and Pettitts Animal Adventure Park (35 minutes) to visit. For grownup days, try Chet Valley Vineyard (five minutes), Henstead Exotic Gardens (20 minutes) or Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum (20 minutes).
