What’s it to be for your Norfolk break – beach days, country walks, boating around the Broads, active adventures, city strolls, sipping cider in the pub? Mix and match as you please when you stay at Loddon Oasis Camping, a simple and friendly site in the little town of Loddon. This attractive little riverside town is a fabulously convenient one for all sorts of days out, so you should never want for things to do while you're staying here. And the site’s setting is very handy too, within just a few minutes' walk of the town’s shops, cafés, pubs, bus stops and other amenities. Dogs are welcome on site, and there’s plenty of space nearby for them (and you) to stretch legs on a riverside walk. If you're not feeling quite so active, settle on the riverbank for a bit of fishing. This small and simple site prides itself on being a friendly place with a great community spirit. Families, couples and solo adventurers are all equally welcome, and will be encouraged to rest and unwind in this lovely chilled-out location. Barbecues are permitted for those who fancy a bit of outdoor cookery, although it should be noted that there’s a fish and chip shop just over the road… As a fuss-free site, the facilities have been kept on the simple side, but you'll have access to essentials like toilets, showers and picnic tables.

Понравилось The area is lovely, fairly central to get around Norfolk. Campsite is situated in the middle of Loddon village, lots of local amenities but the actual site is very, very basic.
Think the owners are trying to improve toilet and shower facilities 🤔

Не понравилось Unfortunately the main dislike is there wasn't any toilet roll except for the first day I got there (Saturday) until the day I left (Thursday) had to get my own. There wasn't any cleaning done either. Very basic, 1 shower and 2 toilets unisex. Whole site is on a slope and isn't very well kept, no bins, rubbish piled up and just told to pitch where there was a space which was a bit of an issue as i needed electric hook up, good job i had an extension cable with me. Also no fault of the site, the people I was pitched next to were constantly leaving there car running for long periods of time sometimes up to 11pm.

Понравилось Thought was a good site owners friendly nice and cheap local pubs within walking distance bus stop not too far to go into Lowestoft had WiFi which was a bonus

Не понравилось Toilet and shower block not the best light doesn't stay on very long and the shower cubicle was dirty

Понравилось The location was good, close to all local amenities.

Не понравилось The site is very uneven. The toilets are not maintained, no toilet paper, the hot water was only luke warm in the toilet and washing up area. The main problem is the number and behaviour of the permanent residents on the site, they left car engines running for hours, loud music playing, smoking who knows what outside and also in the toilets. There was a large amount of rubbish piled up outside the toilets, despite being told that there were bins in the marina. We left a day early as we just didn't feel comfortable on the site.

Понравилось Location fine and central, close to a selection of shops, fine actual pitch and toilets basic and what you expect

Не понравилось Absolutely NOT a family campsite. Lots of permanent residents smoking cannabis, screaming, swearing and fighting until 2am . Other campers arriving well past midnight. No security or staff around site so it didnt feel safe. It was clearly some kind of temporary traveller site and Absolutely not as advertised. Avoid! People charging theor devices by leaving their cars running all night. Had a really unfriendly feel. Left a night early

Понравилось Location was good.

Не понравилось People coming on and off all the time at silly o'clock 2.30 in morning going down to boat yard.toilets was horrible and shower finding electric point also hard as most was taken up by vans on other field.i could not get my head around the set up.we was not given any information on anything very poor I don't think I'll be booking anything on pitch up this campsite was also overpriced.

Понравилось Good location, close to shops, takeaways & pubs. Regular bus service into Great Yarmouth and Norwich & Lovely walks.

Не понравилось Only 1 communal shower and 2 toilets for the whole site. Could really use do with a bit of TLC. Didn’t see anyone from the site the whole time we were there.

Не понравилось Name of campsite did not match name on entry to site so at first we thought we were in the wrong place so had to phone to check as no-one at reception. Very uneven ground so not easy to level up a camper van. Locks on toilets which are unisex not adequate and did not try shower as not enough separation from men going into the toilets.

One of the major draws in Norfolk is The Broads National Park – and you'll easily be able to explore the waterways from here, perhaps hiring a boat from Loddon Marina or canoes from Beccles (15 minutes' drive). Walks and bike rides are equally rewarding in these landscapes, and there are loads of woodland activities and adventures to throw into the mix at BeWILDerwood Norfolk (half an hour). The coast is just as enticing of course; top spots nearby include Great Yarmouth (25 minutes) for an action-packed day at the beach and amusements, or Winterton-on-Sea (40 minutes) for a quieter wander through the dunes. Heading inland instead, Norwich (25 minutes) has a castle and cathedral, plus lots of indie shops and places to eat. Keeping the kids busy should be a cinch around here, what with the likes of Africa Alive (25 minutes), Pleasurewood Hills Family Theme Park (half an hour) and Pettitts Animal Adventure Park (35 minutes) to visit. For grownup days, try Chet Valley Vineyard (five minutes), Henstead Exotic Gardens (20 minutes) or Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum (20 minutes).
