Where to start when listing the many options on offer at the family-friendly park with top facilities and free five-star entertainment that is Vauxhall Holiday Park? Once it’s been at least an hour after a meal (like your mum told you), time for swimming: Vauxhall Holiday Park has a Tropical Waterworld with indoor and outdoor pools, waterslides, rapids, kids’ pool and sunbathing terraces to flop onto afterwards. Or take the crew to the indoor or outdoor sports areas with climbing walls, gym and games room. More food? Why not: alongside the Reedcutters Restaurant (which serves up lunch, dinner and snacks as well as breakfast), Vauxhall Holiday Park has takeaway outlets to bag pizza, burgers, kebabs, fried chicken and local shellfish (not all at once), or you could pick a panini or sarnie while you surf the net on the free wifi at Ted’s Coffee Shop. For entertainment, there’s cabaret, comedy, live music and shows every day of the week, with evening dancing, competitions, cabaret and shows in the Regency Room, and floor shows for the sophisticated in the over-18s V-Lounge with adjoining conservatory.

Em va agradar Had a couple of noises heinous and was moved straightaway the park was clean the swimming pool was good just wish it was longer then 1 hour. The evening entertainment for Halloween was good.

No em va agradar Extend swimming times to possibly 2 hours.

Em va agradar Had an absolutely brilliant weekend, the staff were all friendly, the site was clean, and the entertainment was fantastic.

No em va agradar The only little fault was the showers were too low, fine if your 4ft tall, but any taller and you had to duck to rinse your hair and face

Em va agradar The overall site was great plenty to do and very close to Yarmouth. Good facilities will go again but would book direct and choose our own pitch

No em va agradar We booked a hard standing pitch, however the hard standing was tiny our vehicle is only 3x6.4 and our vehicle was much bigger than the hard standing. We were in a motorhome against the hedge and ended up being blocked in and unable to get our vehicle out without asking people to move vehicles it was that cramped. When people added awnings and cars the space just disappeared and no direct route of the pitch, if people are going to be against the hedge then an awning would block off access to other vehicles. The power supply was also very intermittent and even lost power for several hours due to a fault with another pitch and due to the keys not being on site. The shower block was great but with the rain came the mud then the stalls got very dirty, it might be a good idea to have access to a mop and bucket so that we can clean down the shower stalls which is pretty much standard in every touring site I’ve been to.

Em va agradar Our pitch was great and close to the toilet/shower block which was kept clean and well presented.

No em va agradar We only stayed 1 night so didn’t get time to explore all facilities

No em va agradar Pitches were cramped. Kids running all over our pitch, no hot water in showers, bathroom was dirty and mouldy. Very noisy

Em va agradar Lots to do even my 11 & 14yr olds enjoyed it and wasn’t bored.

No em va agradar Price of the food. As expected very expensive to eat at any of the fast food places. Would be nice to have a reasonable priced place to eat out.

Start off with the Pleasure Beach and racecourse of this seaside town, browse around its market or take the kids to nearby adventure park BeWILDerwood for a bedazzling day out among the zipwires and Crocklebogs. As well as the Broads, Norfolk has loads to see and do, whatever floats your boat: classic golf courses, more seaside towns at Cromer and Hunstanton, historical pads like Blickling Hall and the royal residence of Sandringham, and the Nelson Museum and award-winning Time & Tide Museum, both at Great Yarmouth. For steam fans, there's a pick of four heritage railways to sightsee while sitting, including the 18-mile Bure Valley route through the Broads and the longest heritage railway in East Anglia, the Mid-Norfolk Railway. Birdwatchers can get their beaks into several RSPB and nature reserves all around: start off at the oldest Norfolk Wildlife Trust reserve in the county, Cley Marshes, then take a trip to the biggest at Hickling Broad. Head south to Suffolk for the seaside town and beach huts of Southwold, the Suffolk Heritage Coast and Anglo-Saxon burial at Sutton Hoo, or into Essex for the historic town of Colchester, Epping Forest and another seaside resort at Southend-on-Sea.
