If your dog needs a break as much as you do, then Gumburn Leisure Park could well be the place to make that happen. This Worcestershire site doesn’t accept kids, but the team are more than happy to welcome four-legged family members, who can have a good stretch at the safe dog-walking area and a cleanup using the outside tap if needed. To add to that, a family-run, dog-friendly pub is a five-minute walk away in Sinton Green, serving food in the afternoon/evening most days of the week. This is a small site, with only a handful of pitches, so it’s a very peaceful setup. Its small stature doesn’t mean a lack of facilities, however: guests have access to showers, toilets, a washing-up area and waste disposal, plus a kettle for easy brews (and sometimes you’ll also find the owners popping round with fresh free-range eggs if you want to buy any…) The site’s grass pitches are within the grounds of a 75-acre family-run sheep farm, where you can sit and gaze out over the farmland. There are lots of quiet roads and paths to roam along nearby, and it’s about a 25-minute drive to more trails in the Malvern Hills National Landscape. For a change of scenery, take the 25-minute drive to Worcester for shops, restaurants and a visit to the cathedral. For eats closer to home, guests can take a five-minute stroll to the village's pet-friendly country pub, which serves a range of alcoholic and soft drinks, wholesome pub grub, coffees and hot chocolates. It's open daily, with food served between 12pm and 8pm and a beer garden or indoor area with an open fire. There’s also a fish and chip van in the neighbouring village every Saturday night, or you can take the 10-minute drive to Ombersley for restaurants and pubs (one of which has a Michelin star, no less…) If you’d rather stick to self catering, stock up at the local farm shops, butchers and veg shops, then light up a barbecue by your pitch.

Em va agradar Lovely site, good facilities for campers. Owner available but not intrusive. Electric included in pitch fee (bonus).
Toilet, shower, washing up facilities available. What more could you ask for??
Small dog walk a great little extra as well.

Del gerent: Apologies you would not like to return. As mentioned in our advertisement we are a busy working farm with owners onsite. We provide an extensive email to all campers prior to your arrival giving all details with my own personal number available on there and in our information hut for any emergencies 24 hours a day.

Em va agradar Really friendly and welcoming host, well kept facilities, it was perfect for what we needed, only a handful of pitches and dog friendly, with a lovely dog friendly pub just a short walk away

No em va agradar I only wish the hedge was cut lower, so we could have admired the beautiful fields and lake beyond whilst sitting at our pitch...

Em va agradar This was our very first stay with our new to us old campervan! It turned out to be just perfect for us all (3 adults, mum at 90!), a lovely site, well maintained and with everything we needed. Great spot for our 3 dogs, a lovely touch was the dog walk with poop bins! The local pub, The Open Ditch serves wonderful meals and it's easy to get to from the site. We met the owner who was lovely. We hope to return one day for sure!

Del gerent: What a shame that you would not visit our site again. There is a large hedge which houses wildlife and shelters from winds so with two look out sites so not sure about the view you speak of. We are a family run site and pride ourselves in providing a campsite for all to enjoy. The toilet facilities are advertised on our website so no hidden surprises if campers check out pitch up before arriving.

Em va agradar Small site only 5 pitches, made it a lovely relaxing weekend. Nice and clean with good sized pitches. Amenities are clean and perfect for what you need.
Lovely pub that serves amazing food at a really good price within 5 minute walk, the owner is so welcoming, would highly recommend the camping and the local pub.

Walking boots at the ready… the Malvern Hills National Landscape (25 minutes’ drive) has some spectacular landscapes, including the Beacon Loop from Great Malvern, the Millennium Hill loop or North Hill. While nature takes some of the glory around these parts – as it rightly should – there's also a range of historical properties that are equally as spectacular. One is the birthplace of the composer Sir Edward Elgar, named The Firs (10 minutes' drive) and a lovely place for a stroll in the cottage gardens. Witley Court and Gardens (15 minutes), where fashionable people once partied, is now an excellent patch for woodland walks or garden strolls, and there are Spetchley Park Gardens (25 minutes) and Priory Park gardens (half an hour) for more of that sort of stuff. If you’d rather spend an afternoon sipping on the fine stuff and touring a vineyard, head to Astley Vineyard (15 minutes). Alternatively, plan ahead and find yourself an event at the Three Counties Showground (35 minutes).
