Three fabulous acres of Shropshire countryside await guests at Overdale Camping – and with guest numbers kept to a sensible limit, there's always space to relax, play games or have barbecue evenings. Shropshire is the official location of this small-scale, family-run site (it’s about three miles south of Oswestry), but it's also handily close to the Welsh border, so you’ll be able to spend your days taking in attractions and activities on both sides. And although this is a proper rural spot, it's easily accessed from the A483, so getting out and about should be nice and straightforward. Lots of excellent natural landscapes and man-made attractions are close by for your days out, but in fact you won’t have to go that far to stretch your legs, because there are several nature reserves within walking distance and the Montgomery Canal cycle trail is about a mile away. Also handily close by are a farm shop and a pub serving drinks and meals – both within five minutes' walk. On site, guests have access to facilities including toilets, showers and a kitchen, and there are firepits available to hire for atmospheric campfire evenings.

Em va agradar We had a lovely stay in the bell tent and really enjoyed our time here. The site is peaceful, welcoming, and perfect for families with children. It's easy to find, just off the A5, but still feels like a little countryside escape. The hosts were so friendly and happy to share their knowledge of the local area, with some great recommendations for places to visit. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing break.

Em va agradar Lovely spacious site with gorgeous views and football goal for a kick around. Staff were really friendly and relaxed. The tent had comfortable beds and a sofa for games, drinks etc. Great little weekend getaway.

Em va agradar Plenty of space, lovely view of the countryside, welcoming and helpful hosts. Clean toilet and shower facilities.

No em va agradar Nothing actually bad at all about the site, but came on a very quiet day when there were no other visitors/ I think the facilities would feel limited if there were more than a couple of groups there at one time. Only one shower and 2 toilets on the men's side.
Also quite close to a road and the sound of cars was unavoidable, though that may not be a problem for most people.

Em va agradar We had a lovely bell tent, very clean with extremely comfy beds and lounging area. The site was brilliant too, nice and quiet, everyone is spaced out well and there’s loads of room for the kids to play. The hosts were amazing, even helping us jump start our car! Can’t ask for more than that. Also can’t fault the location, supermarket less than 10 minutes up the road, half an hour from Shrewsbury and other beauty spots. The food at the pub around the corner, absolutely gorgeous!
