Cocoon down for a rather cosy stay at West End Farm Camping, three miles from the edge of the Cotswolds National Landscape. Pitches at this small and intimate family-run site are in a grassy plot surrounded by fields grazed by animals or left to grow for hay. West End Farm is just outside Shilton and a five-minute drive from the town of Burford and the Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens, meaning that you’ll also be well connected to several local attractions. This is a rural location, so the views come in strong – the site looks over the Cotswold hills and the Ridgeway National Trail. Handily, walking and cycling paths are not far away either, and there are lots of routes leading into pretty Cotswold villages and towns. From here though, you’ll be particularly primed to see Burford’s medieval bridge, church and antiques shops, or to potter into Shilton village (10 minutes’ walk) to relax by its ford or to visit its friendly pub. The site has a small shop stocked with meats such as pork and beef, plus eggs, bread and locally produced jams and honey, and each pitch has its own firepit to keep you warm on alfresco evenings (or even cook your dinner if you like). Other facilities on site include clean compost toilets and hot-water showers.

Aquest és un càmping agrícola tranquil i espaiós amb amfitrions amables i molts animals de granja. Les parcel·les són grans i ben cuidats, amb fogueres incloses. Em va agradar Loved the campsite was lovely and quiet and waking up to the cows mooing was lovely and they had some calf’s born whilst we were there. Toilets and showers were great no issues, lovely hot showers. Huge pitches for your tent. Celia was lovely and very helpful highly recommend this campsite, we will definitely be returning next year.

No em va agradar Shop shuts early on a Saturday I guess but that’s about it.

Em va agradar A lovely campsite, the animals were a great addition. The owner communication was great and very welcoming. The pitch size was lovely and we could choose our own pitch as it was a quiet check in day that particular day. Great to stay on an eco friendly facilities farm.

Em va agradar The campsite is on a working family farm. The family are all very helpful and friendly. The pitches are a great size and the showers are nice and warm. The farm sells their own meat in the shop which was excellent.

No em va agradar Not a massive fan of composing toilets but appreciate these are more practical and better for the environment.

Em va agradar The quite clean campsite. They also sell great food from the farm shop we had the bacon and burgers during our stay and both where great. It was a great Cotswold location just seven minutes drive from the Farmers dog pub. Really near Burford.

Em va agradar Second time at the site, friendly staff, clean environment, and I love the animals living alongside you. Each pitch is massive and clearly marked, this isn’t a site where you are all crammed in to maximise profit, only a few pitches are available which gives a large space between.

Em va agradar Beautiful site, large pitches, cows pigs and chickens kept within the grounds. We found the site to be quiet and well kept. 30 mins walk from the cotswolds wildlife park which was well worth a visit ( there was heavy traffic so we were glad we walked). Around 10 mins walk to the shilton rose and crown for a steak and beer.

It is basic 2 compost toilets, 1 sink for washing up, 2 showers and the site is unlit. But everything ive written above is in their description so there weren't any surprises.

All in all enjoyed our weekend there and my wife and i have both said we would return.
